Tried with cable, iPhone, iPad, speed still same.
When starting the speed test, it boost to 8Mpbs, then it dropping to 4Mbps at the end.
Seems like something wrong with my port, or my router caps the speed?
BTW, I'm using TP-Link TD-W8961ND router.

Looks like a miscap on TM side, give them a call and request for a technician if the customer service don't understand the issue.

my connection has been unstable for the past few months. it always shows limited connectivity. 3 to 4 times a day. i have reset the modem for N times and it just wont work. Anyone having the same issue? btw, i am using dlink dsl 2730e modem. I subscribed a few years ago. it was a student package. RM88/month - 4mpbs
*
Limited Connectivity normally caused by router instead of TM.

You are connected to your router wirelessly or wired?

2 only.

Try connecting to your router via Ethernet cable and see if the issue is fixed.

If issue persist, you probably need a new router.

If connected via Eth cable, no problem. Problem with wireless only. Whenever connected to wifi only, will face this problem. any ways to solve this issue?
*
Try changing your wireless channel on the modem control panel.

Guys any idea why all of a sudden my IP became like this?

Your IPv6 Address Is:
2001:e68:4052:9d0:f8dd:ace3:eb39:6760
*
This is an IPV6 address.

The old IPV4 still available.

question to all, is there is any difference using the 8mbps?

as TM have been promising to make UNIFI available to my house for 2 years already, I might need to upgrade streamyx package instead.

how was it compared to unifi VIP5
*
Youtube streaming and downloading is definitely faster on Streamyx 8Mbps.
Unifi feel smoother thanks to the lower latency. The high upload is very useful if you use cloud storage.

Just upgrade to Streamyx since you can upgrade to Unifi from Streamyx anyway.

*
You are not the only person who face this. TM don't want to risk a poor connection apparently.

bro, questions for you about the 8mb.

1) Youtube streaming speed. it is possible to get 1080p smoothly? or maybe just 720p?

2) I'm a frequent MOBAs and I heard about all these DCs happening? Is this true in your case?

Thanks in advance.
*
1)8Mbit is capable of smooth 1080p streaming but TM mess up their routing sometime.
2)Location dependant.

Been asking on the other Streamyx forum but no one entertain me.
So I'm gonna try my luck here.
Anyone use Riger DB120WL?
How do I assign IP address for certain MAC address?
Had no problem with this while using DB108WL on the early days. But can't seem to find the setting in DB120WL.
*
Look for static lease on the interface.

I not sure if the feature is available or disabled by TM.

I have Unifi at another location and it works fine.

Guys , i subscribed to 8mbps but i didnt get the speed of 8mbps .does the repairing undersea cables affected my download speed . see my attached[attachmentid=6205124]
*
Undersea cable only affects international bandwidth, local bandwidth should not be affected.

What is your downstream rate? Attainable rate seem fine to me.

I can't see any screenshot but if what you say is right, TM capped your port wrongly.

Hi guys would this be a good enough modem+router D-Link DSL-2750E http://www.dlink.com.my/product/n300-wirel...wi-fi-router-4/

Seen quite a lot of good reviews by buyers on Lazada who said it's better than TM's modem. http://www.lazada.com.my/d-link-dsl-2750e-...dem-690953.html

or would the Asus N12E be a better option though more expensive than the D-Link?

Actually the problem I have with the TM D-Link DSL-2730E is that when Apple iPhone or iPad connects to it, apparently all other devices which connects to this modem will have slow speeds and high pings. I have enabled QoS yet the same issue.  hmm.gif
*
I configure the TM modem on bridge mode and use another device (Asus RT-AC68U) as the router. It works really well.

s6x : Make sure you request for a rebate since they do not provide you the appropriate service you paid for. File a complaint to MCMC to accelerate their actions.

hi guys..

the stb..for hypptv, which connection do you use? wifi? ethernet?

the ethernet is really a dedicated iptv line? or still piggyback on the 8mbps line?

because i just use wifi line for the hypptv because the tv and modem router is far from the tv..and i am 100% it streaming using the 8mbps line.

It run using your existing internet unlike Unifi.
