Any idea what could be causing this poor DSL connection? Used to be 20+dB for SNR. Encountering frequent disconnections due to the low SNR. My internal house wiring lines have never changed. Could it be the junction box on the TM pole or the port in the DSLAM? Already made a complaint to TM and SKMM and still waiting for a fix.

If you didn't mess with the wire in your house then it will be TM issue at their point.

They have their own portable device to check anyway.

Streamyx is broken again or it's just me

Every IP range that went through 175.137.109.70 give me ridiculous ping(9Xms local) and really bad speed (1Mbit)

I subsribe to 8MB, but the download cap is 8191, instead of 10239. I phone up 100, they tell me is because my house near to the port. Is there such thing?
*
If your house is near to the port, you should get higher.

Change your DNS in your router, some user complained TM DNS having issue resolving website properly.

I got no problem, I am using Google DNS anyway.

As Shaney's 17ms ping is awesome. What about mine at 43ms? Good or bad?
*
Use a cmd Windows to perform ping test.

Speedtest.net is inaccurate for some reason

I have problems with my streamyx 8mbps recently

Max speed only 2mbps
Pings around 50-100

Hypptv will loading every 15-30mins
I already call tm around 20times

Various solution given
Modem broken,spliter,phone socket,modem setting wrong

Guess what...today..they call me they said my internal wiring is broken..that why my internet is slow...

Seem ridiculous since my house already build 2-3 years
Phone call no problem
Internet quite stable despite 2mbps

Do you guys think it is occur because of internal phone wiring??

Your attenuation is higher than usual but your data rate still alright.

Try with another modem.

Already try new modem..aztec..
New spliter,new phone socket..

Any idea?

Well, your attenuation is higher than usual.

But you need to determine is it TM side or your side. So get TM technician to test at the pole .

Yes..TM call me..they said it is internal wiring
But they never came to.my house to check...how i can get guarantee that after i change my wiring my speed will get back to normal?

It will cost me some amount for telephone wiring..
*
If you got some skill you can test yourself directly from the wire from the pole.

Is the Streamyx version of Hypptv different from Unifi?

I've heard for for Streamyx it shares the 8mb internet connection for Hypptv while it doesn't for Unifi making Streamyx unable to watch tv while fully downloading.

Anyone got the Sports Pack able to give feedback on the quality of the HD football channels?
*
Yes, it share the internet connection. HyppTV will become blur or maybe keep buffer if your internet is congested.

Definitely unlike Astro. I feel somewhere around 480p to 720p

how to check if the line support 8mbps. im currently on 4mbps
*
There's no way we will know unless we are TM staff or agent. Phone 100

ADSL stats only if the line is capable or not, it still depends on TM whether there's available port at your location and many factor

so if my current 4mbps , line attenuation high around 40-50

and snr is low at 13-22

then my line will not support for 8mbps and also will not support in future, unless I move house?

sad.gif
*
Is your location covered under 8Mbit now? If not then good luck biggrin.gif

SNR can be fixed, check your copper connection
