you'll go deaf when you try to sleep with your pc on. nidec? cause triblade and practical. i have a delta focus flow 190cfm one. that one is a screamer. still sitting on the shelf waiting to be used. problem is. nidec can perform good cfm below 1 amp. and that deltai have is 3amp. so try its a power sucker

QUOTE(Vervain @ Jul 14 2006, 03:52 PM) my cheapest idea. can tiru tiru la. no need to modify, just chuck in a powerful fan and you're good to go. as for the delta FFBs, try and check if they can run from standstill at 5v or 7v. if they can, consider urself lucky. i have 4 120mm FFB and only one can run at 5/7v. anyway, no need fan controller for the FFBs... u can actually make a flip switch for it. awake=12v, sleeping time 5 or 7v. thats what i did to my 120 & 80 mm FFBs in my case as well as the other fans in my case. helps hell of alot too.. best thing is the FFBs still push a decent amount of air even at 5v 12v-5v SWITCH 12v-7v SWITCH |

Don't blow directly on the PCB, can cause static. And positioning the hard disk like that is not recommended imo as the weight distribution is not balanced.

Thanks...will follow your advise. Still thinking of how to cooling down the hdd. Feeling that is good to screw it at the metal hdd case n let the heat flow to the case and put one or 2 fan blow from side..........Is this a good way to do? Pls advise. |
