Don't blow directly on the PCB, can cause static. And positioning the hard disk like that is not recommended imo as the weight distribution is not balanced.

Thanks...will follow your advise. Still thinking of how to cooling down the hdd. Feeling that is good to screw it at the metal hdd case n let the heat flow to the case and put one or 2 fan blow from side..........Is this a good way to do? Pls advise.

actually, if you arent overly concerned about HDD cooling, you can have the fan in between the 2 HDDs:

HDD1HDD1HDD1
HDD1HDD1HDD1
.............................fan
.............................fan
.............................fan
HDD2HDD2HDD2
HDD2HDD2HDD2

putting the fan this way will reduce air turbulence and resistance [thus noise]. i found that i was able to push alot of air all the way to the rear of my casing [to the gcard] with a +/-18CFM fan. HDD2 will suffer a 1¬3C rise in temps because of the lack of airflow on the bottom part [mine increased by 1.5/2C].

mean the fan will blow direct to one of your hdd pcb area.....right?

so we should all swicth off our CPU fans because the blow towards the motherboard - which is made from PCB? tongue.gif

You are wrong, the CPU fan is direct blow to heatsink and not direct to mobo.....and another fan is to suck out the heat inside the casing......So all are different
