Guess root by either mobile odin or exynos abuse will do the trick? So which firmware 4.1.2 malaysia ar you guys using? I'm still on 4.1.1, is the battery draining issues on earlier 4.1.2 had been sort it out? Any significant difference between the 2?
Mobile Odin need root to work Difference with 4.1.2 posted several times. Do a search or Google yourself Worth to upgrade I would say Latest msian firmware is LL7 - search in sammobile under Malaysia Battery drain is not an issue at all for me It is not only due to firmware Don't get confused by some users Try yourself n judge it No venture no gain
beyond removing the battery and messing about with the software, i am hardware adverse. I dare not touch anything that needs removing with a screwdriver. haha.. although i would love to replace my back cover with one that supports wireless charging.
speaking of that, what is the 1800 / 1300 / 500 that you guys are talking about like 18 pages back?

So...HTC demands a dev to remove all custom roms using the Sense UI
HTC has generally left the custom ROM community to its own devices, apart from individuals who actively sought to publish unreleased HTC software. This has allowed a thriving Sense ROM community to emerge on XDA, RootzWiki, and other hubs of developer collaboration. But the shuttering of HTCRUU may be a shift to a stance of more active policing for the company.
The shutdown resulted in the removal of all files from HTCRUU, whether stock or custom Sense-based ROMs, and the eventual transferring of the domain to HTC (on grounds of trademark infringement). Any such files in temporary storage (eg, http://androidfiles.org/ruu/) must also be cleared out. ====================== Some of the comments are insightful. Apparently this is not the first PR f/up (for the dev community at least) that HTC has made.
Samsung hasn't gone down this route ... yet ... we only hope they never. Success can bring hubris.
its odd when htc is going down the drain and they are hurriedly shutting their most active users down the hell hole called bankruptcy and making them jump to another manufacturer

Why some users still so obessed with OTAupdates Whether root or unroot easiest just download from sammobile.com n flash in PC using odin Your phone will auto unroot if rooted Once official update out it will be available too at sammobile No need to go through frustration of update failure midway or waiting for it n no idea when you can get it
benny888, i couldn't agree more. however i wanna ask you something, would you know how to help when my wifi + bluetooth toggles (in both settings and the notification pulldown) refuses to switch on?
full wipe + reinstall latest firmware doesn't help at all

I bought for Xperia S last time, only RM20. Is this real, you bought at that price? Or trying to get attention as you did in S2 thread last time?
No I am not getting attention as you mention.. Btw I bought a sun u official flip cover in the same shop as I bought the screen protector at RM199.. That is why I thought the screen protector is original ..

Just flashed to 4.1.2 using odin with firmware from sammobile ... my build is now n7100xxdll7 but i dont see the new camera or the new keyboard. The ink effect is an option but cant enable it .... anything i did wrong ?
I posted a link at xda where there is an app that can read your current charging output. just browse back. really lazy to link again the site. It is the latest firmware for Thailand, the full name is N7100XXDMA5_N7100OLBDMA2_THL
if you want details baout the phone, you can use terminal and issue a getprop command or using adb just issue a command ./adb shell getprop
nvm. decided to just connect to KIES on my notebook.
showed the country code. ok, confirmed mine is South Africa set - XFA.
dunno if its cable or phone or my windows 7... every now and then when i connect phone to USB port, it does not detect properly. says drivers failed to install... or device could not start... weird.

That is in ver 4.2 only Google these as you can install it separately Ink effect enable it in settings - drill down the settings menu list to find it

just noting that Kernel development seems to have ground to a halt. nothing from perseus and redpill since 2 weeks ago, no fixes, no bug stomping, no feature adds...
anyway, slimbean ROM seems to be a very good alternative with only ~95mb file size AOSP type rom... hahah

You can flash to whatever country that you like, the phone will still work.

Uh, the numbers are certainly different....
It's not like some company just says "Retina" which means different numbers in different devices...

I tested the galaxy charging current app with both my frequently used micro USB cables ( one from Nexus 7 and the other a old Motorola unit) , both gives me 1698 mA I am so far very happy with my present charging setup using the USB enabled ipad charger. I used this same setup to charge my Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 too. I was warned that using a 2.0A output might damage my Nexus 4 battery but seriously I couldn't be bother about it
