Travelling is frequent if you want to work in Huawei Malaysia since the KL office is their Asia Pacific HQ. Frequent travelling  = 1-2 months.

"Frequent travelling = 1-2 months" means that travel once in 1-2 month? that's ok for me..smile.gif, but as i know, they travel normally to those asian country such as india, china, thailand..correct if i'm wrong. smile.gif

It depends on your position. Some require heavier travelling compared to others. By this I mean, some spend their time in overseas more than the time in Msia (in a yr).

p4n6 is right smile.gif If you are someone who loves travelling, you can try Huawei.

I think it is heavy travelling for 1-2 months (stay 1-2 months in a country). Frequency probably like above 5 times a year.

You can always ask your interviewer to where you might go and the coverage of the travelling area ... different companies have it differently.

From the Huawei site, you can see that Huawei Tech deals with more than just data communication equipment and devices. It basically covers all telecommunication equipment from fixed, mobile to data networks. So, Huawei is comparable to SIEMENS, ERICSSON, LUCENT, & MOTOROLA.

Huawei's a big company,the biggest in China I guess.

They deal with mobile networks,data com,optical networks,NGN,home networking products,etc..basically everything that you can think of for communcations.

Malaysia is the HQ for AP region and south asia, I guess now it covers Aussie and NZ too and some islands towards the east of aussie.

Heavy travelling is required if u r hired under Asia Pac office.Probably 1-2 months for each trip, come back for about 3-6 days and go again, but also depends on ur job scope

In fact, mostly are IT ppl (network) or those with CCNA/CCNP/CCIE  tongue.gif

I seriously doubt that. I believe a balanced ratio between IT and telecommunication is more accurate.

Huawei is a multi national corporation in telecommunication industry.

It should hire people from all levels, such as technical, marketing, account, finance, admin, logistic, legal, etc etc.

Huawei is not an IT company. Network Engineer is categorized under telcom as well.

What the heck with CCNA/CCNP/CCIE? Cisco and Huawei are rivals in datacom field ^^;;

Company that involves in implementation of networks with Cisco equipment will take people with CCNA/CCNP/CCIE. However, such cert will be added advantage in some sense.
