How long did it take for your application to be approved?  I submitted my Application to the HQ last week. Until now, no news.

In contrast, I submitted my Application for Alliance Platinum yesterday and today, received SMS that Application is being processed.  Gen-X, you're right, the Customer Service of AEON definitely needs to be improved together with their payment system.

Just to update

I submitted my form to HQ at Menara Olympia on 12 December. I just called the Helpline and was told my Application Dated 17 December is being processed.  This is called WTF - submit to HQ on 12 Dec but only officially processed on 17 Dec.  It should have been processed on 13 Dec and no later than 16 Dec. Also, AEON did not send any SMS notification unlike Alliance.

You can use the self menu to check on the application status too.

Where did you get the Watami CC, 1Utama? What is the value of the dessert voucher?

AEON is really very slow in approving / responding. Perhaps its the Holiday Season

My Time Line

12 Dec - Submitted application to HQ
17 Dec - Under Process (based on Automated System, first called on 18 Dec)
19 Dec - AEON Called to verify my details

And then complete silence. The Automated System still say under process.

you need to do 2 retail transactions (any amount) within the first 60 days after card approval date.
then the rm50 will appear in following month statement. 

I experience the same thing too. 

If you are willing to pay RM1 per transaction (this is not IBG), you can transfer >RM5k

It won't work to pay AEON WATAMI via IBG (10 sen charge).
Somehow AEON Credit Service didn't update Citibank to accept WATAMI's CC number format, resulting in "INVALID ACCOUNT"

You pay via Bill Payment. Make sure you add additional RM1 to the amount to be paid.
Eg. Statement Amount = RM1000, please pay RM1001
Your CC balance will receive RM1000 and RM1 is taken by AEON Credit Service
