Nobody said the gorilla glass is scratch-proof. There have been many incidents of the glass being scratched especially by sand.

Friends, I suggest you wait out for the original nokia CC-1043 casing to be available in Malaysia. The fit is just perfect! Once put in, its like the casing is part of the phone.

A note of caution here. It has been reported that the colour of the original casing wearing off on the phone.

So, if you are buying a darker coloured casing to fit on a lighter coloured phone, just take cognizance.

Any specific brand to warn us? My Nilkin one seems to be injection mold color, no problem, but like some others said, button not accurate. Was thinking of looking around for more.

It's the Nokia original casing. I in fact read it somewhere in this forum.

I believe the reason is the material which is the 'soft' type as opposed to the Nillkin and Rock ones which are hard.

A caveat. That was for the 900. It could well be that Nokia has improved on their QC since then and it may be fine now.

In any event, better safe than sorry.

Have you checked whether your phone is scratched by the hard casing you presently have on?

Hard casings have the tendency to scratch the phones when small particles seep in-between.

Never happened to me before, including my older phones. My old phones get scratched because i drop them while they are naked. The Nilkin one, the fitting surface inside is rubbery in terms of feel, outside is rugged hard plastic feel.

hi, planning to take this phone as my first smartphone
after long thinking, i choose lumia 920 over samsung s3 because the lumia is more durable, my current phone kena drop like million times already, so deswai i choose lumia, thanks to the drop tests on youtube.

-any big issue on this phone?
-update is done by nokia or by myself? the process need backup or just simple like updating firefox browser on laptop (simple click button only)
-got ready stock at the mines? i like white/yellow color..
-anywhere oso price should be in between rm1800 to rm2000 rite?

That's good. So long as you ensure, or at least try to ensure no small particles like sand seep in between the casing and the phone.

just note to self lumia 920 is not drop proof. its just harder plastic if drop certain angle glass will shatter as well and if drop on body u notice chipped plastic making it uneven surface.

If you are into social integration and camera then choose lumia 920 if not think hard.

Ouch. rclxub.gif
Any phone if it lands on one of the 4 corners when it is dropped will most likely break; small area = higher pressure and impact. Lumia 920's weight wll even increase the risk. This pic does seem to indicate the phone landed on its corner judging by the crack pattern.

After reading this topic for the past weeks, could I conclude that despite L920 is indeed a great phone with Big screen and amazing camera, majority of L920 users are haunted with either minor or major issue?

I finally make up my mind with my dilemma over three WP8 Lumia and chose L920. But reading quite many negative response, I hesitated. I think I will wait a while since I prefer Red.
