yup. dont give direct contact to moss, riccia and several plants that i cant remember the names. It wont work for: riccia, vallisneria, egeris densa, hydrilla and liverworts.

alright. the instruction says: 5ml/40L water. After that 5ML/200L water.

My tank is 2ft, it is about 60x30x25= 45L. I already pour in 5ml x 2days. Today gotta reduce to 1ml.

I will put the SAE to clean up the hair algae. should be tasteful for them now.

Hi guys, anyone have any recommendation to remove Blue-green algae?? my tank suddenly full of Blue-green algae might be because of my dirty filter. Already washed my filter, removed Blue-green algae using tolls (some small chunk fell back in), have Amano shrimps, Red Cherry Shrimps and Oto in it too. Still no reduction of Blue-green algae but growing back... Guess all the shrimps couldn't eat it and filter not removing it either...

im just starting this hobby, so i try with the simple one first. but i have several question;

can neon do well with guppy?
cause i have several pair of neon + guppy in one tank but i have trouble to feed the neon. cause when the flakes at the top of the water, guppy will eat all of them.

any tips?

Dose nitrate won't that make it worst?

Ow ya, doing 1 day light and 1 day off sequence and 1pm - 8pm, which I guess is low lighting for the plant to grow is that bad? or that is minimum for the plant? tried put 9 hours but mostly have lots of other algae issue..staghorn, hair, Black Beard Algae and green spot algae...

i think neon n guppy will keep eating when there is food even though they r very full like bloated stomach. i would say, dun overfeed them. mean to say, feed same qty everytime. dun worry about them getting hungry. these small fishes eat some algae n plant bits as their supplement food as well (i notice my guppies snipping/pinching off some rotala).

overall, as time goes by, they will know n rush for food when they know u r coming. train them! biggrin.gif

Hi sifus,

For most of the planted tanks other than putting anti-chloride and fertilizer, did you guys also put salt inside it?
Thanks in advance.

@naoki
use anticbiotic to remove BGA, u can go to NA ss19, ask ah yee for the medicine...

no fauna consume this bacteria, but some said molly might help
BGA is more on flow rather than dirty filter...check ur flow is it circulate well....or u can add air pump at the effected area
