its best that you go and check out the real units and test them out yourself...
By doing that you will pretty much be able to make up your mind already since you have your own preferences in terms of design, ergonomics, feel etc. of the notebook nod.gif

The sifus here cannot help you make that decision since we are not you lol, and if later got problem we get blamed pulak  tongue.gif

I tested Y500 as the Dell inspiron 15R SE and Acer didn't display at my local store so i hardly to make up my mind because I never hand on to test them and feel them sad.gif The stunning IPS Acer V3 also never see before sad.gif

Nah,wont blame you all, instead would thanks and thumbs up for the sifu smile.gifsmile.gif

How about an Asus? You do get international warranty coverage automatically without the need to fork out more money to upgrade  the warranty to international icon_rolleyes.gif

You will not like Asus as well after reading here laugh.gif :http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2337458

As for Lenovo and Dell, yes they do offer international warranty coverage, but at a price nod.gif
And do take note that for Dell you can only claim warranty overseas after
(1) you have transfer your warranty from Malaysia to __________
(2) That country you are in offers the same model as well

We are not magicians with crystal balls haha, so we can't really predict when the new lineups will come laugh.gif
but there will definitely be a refresh when Haswell comes out, hopefully with a new generation of GPUs as well... that time it will already be the 3rd-4th quarter of the year.. so if  you cannot wait, then just buy what you can get now nod.gif

Perhaps you can consider the new Illegear RE-15?  brows.gif

Haha sry sifu. I can wait till the 3rd quarter of this year probably before I go to UK. It seems like Illegear has something to offer or is it better if I go buy laptops in UK for example at pcspecialist?
What do you think sifu? I'll be staying there for three years

One more thing, can the laptop that you recommended( Illegear re 15) has an upgradable gpu?

And how about this, MSI GT60 BAREBONE 4199 with gtx 670m i5 8 gig ram 750gb 7200rpm free dos

Hi Guys,

Lenovo
S400 59346610 RM1,449
S400 59346442/43 RM1,699
G480 59356426 RM1,749

Toshiba
U840-1009X RM1,799
U840-1008X RM2,199
U940-1001X RM2,499

Which one better, more valuable?
Any recommendation?

Toshiba having lighter weight but price ... slightly over 2K sad.gif
If taking out the weight as consideration, G480 looks the best

So usually what is the size for ultrabook? I go thru this Asus ZENBOOK U500VZ? Any comment on this? Price?

Most of the ultrabook in Malaysia is 11.6", 12.5", 13", 14".
U500VZ is not sold by Asus Malaysia.

1. It's more expensive to buy laptop in UK (model with exact same spec) than in Malaysia due to GST / VAT.
2. Don't think Haswell is coming out in laptop in Malaysia on 3Q13.
3. Haswell won't improve gaming by much, but will improve battery performance.
4. If you are staying in UK for 3 years, better buy in UK (not coming back for holiday?) . Alternatively, buy laptop models that come with 3 years International Warranty (but have to pay for it tongue.gif)
5. Illegear RE-15 use GTX660M, and iinm, there is no MXM model for GTX660M, which mean the GPU in RE-15 is not upgradeable. But it is better for you to check with Prince J (he has a thread in LYN right here).
6. If you are really interested in Clevo barebone based laptop, there are quite a few re-sellers in Europe / UK smile.gif
