The battery performance for a 4-cell will definitely be shorter than the 6-cell
I guess maybe only ~2.5hours? Need more feedbacks from users

i will choose ASUS over dell in terms of gaming but if warranty support, will choose dell. so my conclusion is, Dell.

N56VZ-S4284H, i7-3630QM + Nvidia GT650M + (1920x1080) + Bluray@RM3699[2.7kg][B&O], 4GB, 1TB, W8; color: black
Ideapad Y500, i7-3630QM + Nvidia GT650M + (1920x1080)@RM3799, 4GB, 500GB, W8; GN36 exGPU, 120W & 170W AC adapter

For gaming, if your friend play games that support SLI, then Y500 is better. Otherwise, it is the same.
For Catia, Solidwork, again, CPU and GPU is both model is the same.
The N56VZ come with Bluray ODD, the Y500 come with a ultrabay GPU that your friend may or may not use (could be sold for RM600+ and use that money to buy a 256G SSD)
Both have 2 years warranty (Asus warranty support is iffy though).
Y500 always run the GT650M, N56VZ can utilise the Intel HD4000 IGPU to save power.

So the choice basically boil down to aesthetic preference

Hi can levono y500. Support battlefield 3 high settigs? Nor crysis 3? And isit worth to buy? Will it break easily? Or overheat?

looking for specs as below:

Screen size : 13.3" or below
Processor: i5/i7
Graphic: if can dedicated

yes. 4 cell's battery life will be shorter than 6 cell. but the laptop is a worth buy. it is light and normal power consumption, maybe your battery will last 2 hours unplugged.

yes but under 1366x768 resolution with 2xAA (recommended). so far, no break issue for the Y500 until next year. it depends on users usage on the laptop.

the Vaio is better but due to its specs, the battery life will be around 2.4 hours if im not wrong. just go for Sony.

thanks. battery life not an issue, will plugin direct current all the time.

your laptop will last for 1.5-2 years. it is not advisable to gaming on laptop for a long time as the heat issue is always a FAQ. graphics card on desktop is way more cooler compared to laptops as the spaces in laptops are very narrow, and this can result in unnoticeable overheating and causing damage to the graphics card.

maybe around 2 hours. not possible to change to 6 cell like HP do. this laptop's lowest price is around RM22xx. RSP is RM2400.
