the pond is not too big to the point u need to deploy boat, but what u said makes sense. mekong kenot use lures. fish valley pond got mekong, baung, carps, i think got haruan and keli, but all use dedak, no one going for the haruan. anyway the pond is way too big to use lures. this pond will be slightly bigger than jpond, if not mistaken.
about the fee, do we have a CNR pond around PJ, damansara or puchong area with 20-40 entrance fee and fish for 8-12 hours (except midnight package)? and with haruans and tomans, and probably redtail and such? in fact its hard to find a CNR pond. in my shallow knowledge i only know kelana jaya got 1 which is badly run down, and taufu pond, 2 which is considered near to kl town, offering CNR. can u pls let me know any other CNR pond nearby? i've been looking for quite sometime. i fish only for the fun, not the fish   
knowing that jpond is charging RM100 for 3 hours, he's trying to copy them but one which caters to lures and bottom anglers ( or maybe only casting, not decided yet). exotic they have really exotic fishes so the price is well worth it, but i can assure u, the price will be much lesser than jpond. anyway he insists on amazon and asean redtails, so thats 1 good news confirmed

metal rod, those used to fish haruan last time..damn heavy my fren still using one..
if u do power cast on a bait casting reel, the line will get tangled up, aka char bee hoon, that's why usually they cast short-medium range, also the lures usually wont be heavy enuff to cast too far out. oh, unless u buy those very expensive bait casting reel, then it wont char bee hoon. i'm not a BC user, so that's all i know.
