I would like to share with you and others whom are reading this.
I use to buy cheap average reels and I'll throw out their ball bearings and replace them with good ones and I will use them in the sea. Those are spinning reels for jigging. I have ever bought Daiwa Capricon and never used it yet, it's so call branded but not so expensive but still cost around Rm500.00 because those cheap reels didn't break down or fail me till now so I didn't open my Daiwa yet.

If you have a good budget you can land up paying as much as RM3k or more for a spinning reel, these are top notch.

I begin to fall back on cheap average reels, usually made in China or Korea (I can't afford also la) I will reel in big catch out in the wild when some of my friends who can afford it using Penn, Shimano and etc.... bla bla bla. Important thing is the end results.
Also you may not have heard of this, some of my friends were fishing in some remote areas and were robbed of all their equipments and valuables. Even they were 4 of them fishing, the robbers are 8 of them on 4 motorcyles. How sad...

was in pulau ketam last weekend .... got there late and was too late by the time we settled down ...
just cast from jetty for practise ... lolol ... dropped the rod&reel into the water ... had earlier decided to stop since i was getting birdnests ... was tired

could only stand there and look at it ... saw the front end slowly sink
then saw the butt remained afloat
asked my colleague who was holding another rod to come over and i had a go at it
stretched the rod down, looped the lure around the split handle in the water and brought it up ... phew
returned to the room and rinsed everything thoroughly but still need to get the reel serviced ... sighhh ... when one is tired, stop casting lolololol
