Went to exotic with cousin and best fren since 2nd day of Raya and ntg to do. Catch rate compare to last time I think better for me but I dunno for others as this is my 3rd time here oni. Caught 4 fishy and last 1 was a talapia( didn't take pic, too small.)LOL!!

Have been eyeing the new Morrum... but but to Abu owners, IVCB or Mag?

I believe its on IVCB. It would be a fortune later down the road if you collect them. On daily usage I rather use/buy Ryoga.

nice! plastic always works. My go-to lure if everything else fails. with the exposed hook, can foul hook fishes also if situation forces me to..

if it's a limited production, then, maybe it will be. but since the consumerism thing has been going on for the past decade or two, i doubt Abu will sit still and not come up with another morrum down the road..

i sign up for a 1 day sea fishing trip at phuket ,
when abroad a fishing vessel sampan style , the skipper didint even speak english , only speak thai
the helper speak half ass hardly understandable english

the vessel dont have any electrical device , no fish finder , no compass
it was amazing the skipper still know where we are instead of missing in middle of sea

head out to sea sharp at 9am cruising at low speed , i ask the helper why so slow
he says prepare for trolling , never try trolling fishing before so i sit aside see him setting up

trolling for 4 hours only 1 bite on 6 rods , i dont know is my bad luck or the lure suck big time .....
the rod and reel was shimano and penn stuff BUT heavy abuse the condition is terrible

reel missing handle ! replace with a metal bar

rod missing guide exposing metal edge .......

the lure is plastic octopus missing the hairy part behind with rusted hook .......

and the worst part is i have to join in the trip with someone tourist from mainland china ( 3 man 4 lady )
they annoy me most at this whole trip ......

at 1pm we stop for lunch , simple onboard cooking then swimming & resting until 2.30pm

fishing resume at 2.30 with bottom fishing

hand line with unbreakable spool , the most amazing part is the ship dont carry enough weight to reach bottom for fishing ....
only 4 spool was distribute but from what i can see , 2 of them dont have enough line to reach bottom
1 of it dont have enough weight and the last 1 have a oversize hook ( i really mean oversize hook , never seen 1 before )

truly facepalm with the setup............

after bottom fishing head back to pier while trolling, land 3 more fish on the way back


the most unpleasant fishing trip i ever have in my life

LOL, been there, done that. Luckily my experience was better, I went alone too, but I made acquaintance with others and we kinda got along. Yeah, the catch rate was pathetic, my trolling got 2 tuna in 1 attempt. Bottom fishing only 1 tiny grouper. I almost cry when I see Penn International in such a bad condition. Never again will I go to such scams anymore.

tambun as in Perak area??? plenty PB there man.
The whole perak from Temoh, Air kuning, Batu gajah, Ipoh... all PB haven.

Best of all,.. most of the ponds and lakes are connected ,.. exploring all of em is pure fun.

Klang valley not many places, I too suffer the same problem hunting to fishes in the wild.
Puchong has got a few good spots, Putra perdana, Saujana Putra.
Cyberjaya wet lands,.. paya indah wetlands. Sepang

All are potential areas, but if you hoping to get something on land base,.. better go market buy fish HAHAHA
most need boat to hunt.
