QUOTE(max_cjs0101 @ Jan 14 2013, 01:42 PM) I think its the same dude, we call him blow water kiasu king. If u tell him that you caught a 60cm peacock bass, he will tell u that he caught 61cm before. If u say that u manage to land 20 tomans in jpond, he will say he landed 30. |

QUOTE(acheong7 @ Jan 16 2013, 07:58 PM) an acquaintance in pancing.net claimed to have nego-ed the price of a z200 or z2020, can't recall which, down to less than RM1600 @ digital i have to agree with you with both, especially ann. everytime i go there sure spend more than rm100...'s far as i know, unc ng will give what he can ann has good/poisonous marketing skills MC Days 1-pc rod for rm400 was soooooo tempting ... i think no more di but she stuck to her guns when it came to a citica 200E .. wouldn't budge an inch at all from her rm430 mebbe i yong sui or not regular customer enough |

QUOTE(1dollar @ Jan 21 2013, 04:45 PM) when u said cacing,.. as in live earth worms? Reel n rod setup also very dependent on what fish u are targeting. Not to say that you can't go with a UL setup, but from experience, it takes too long to land the average sized Asian red tails on a UL setup. But if u r targeting the jelawat, a UL setup is very fun.You didnt try the zoom worms I gave you ka ?? Went to Exotic on Sat with Inv & trowachin. Well it was a fun & frustrating day for us, apparently bite rates to inv & trwoachin wasnt that good according to them, 2 weeks ago was almost 1 cast 1 bite. We landed some good Amazon, baung, plabuk. Lost quite a lot of lines fighting fishes, I lost mine to some thing strong pulling into the propellers machine. Kinda sad because most of our hooked fishes didnt made it to the land. A lot slip & escaped while fighting. Lessons learnt from Exotic : 1) Dont bother going with line below 15lbs 2) go with a rod rating M-MH 3) bring extra rods, if possible 3. 4) Soft plastics works so does deep diving lures. 5) workout those arm muscles & just hang on to the rod Summary, Jelawat, UL/L setup recommended. Asian redtail, preferably ML/M class rods n reels. Amazonian, higher chance to land the big ones with MH setup, above 15lbs line. 20lbs preferably. My fav. Baits to use there would be any soft plastic for jelawat n Asians, while the amazonian will require some deep diving crankbaits. |

QUOTE(acheong7 @ Jan 26 2013, 06:42 PM) montana 650/650t .. i understand there's a 600 model as well ... One thing I don't like about ocean sea is their pricing. Everything also gotta bring to counter to get the correct price.beyond my budget for now ... pretty cool actually .. it's cheaper on the whole than getting different units for different activities on a different note, Ocean Sea Seri Kembangan has about 8-10 Gomoku Erito rods .. sticker price rm321. what caught my eye though were STORM BC and spinning rods in bright lemon/corn yellow all the way all 6-footers outfitted with micro guides ... the spinning rod had three guides followed by micro guides the BC reel seat are the split type exposing the blank they come in 6-12lb and 8-17lb versions ... sticker price of rm322 there were 2nd hand spinning tenryu 6-12lb (handle heavy) and silstar (no poundage visible but had a crosshairs/target emblem on the blank ... both about rm300 ... I notice that the new Fuji k guides are like those on the storm rod. Micro guides seems to be the IN thing nowadays. Have that on my major craft skyroad spinning rod as well. |

QUOTE(acheong7 @ Jan 26 2013, 08:40 PM) ooops my bad .. left out the 'K' you're right bro inv, they're K guides most of their stuff have price tags attached ... like how a yamaga blank rod is tagged rm1390 with 15% off ... it's worse in supermarts or hypermarts .... some of my friends were raving bout micro guides a few years back ... no idea if they tried it or how it worked out i use quite thick leaders ... micros might not be suitable QUOTE(vioxmonsta @ Jan 26 2013, 09:15 PM) 40lbs-50lbs i guess it depends on the rod poundage as well. the heavier rods will have bigger micro guides compared to the lighter rod.Have No problem casting 40lbs leader on the mgs stinger, Still I think it all depends on the leader ur using. BTW guys,I'm looking for a mini full hd camcorder/video recorder. Any brands to intro?what's d price range like? even the extreme angler's finesse rods made a few years back with the normal y-guides have micro guides on the top of the rods. as for the size of the leader, it really depends on what game you're playing actually. i have rods with the 'normal' sized guides and micro guides but i don't really feel the difference yet. perhaps i'm still not tuned to the rods i have. |

QUOTE(trowachin @ Jan 27 2013, 09:46 AM) me too. wouldn't it be easier for all parties if they would have just shown the nett price? or maybe they can just mark up the price a little to cater for member's discount and bulk discount or what not.save time on asking and answering price queries.. |
