Yes, I was looking into upgrading to the RT-AC1300UHP after reading about it in the threads and reviews.

Looks really promising. Wasn't sure if it was worth the upgrade tho.

RT-AC86U is a beast but way overbudget tho.

Thanks for the explanation and appreciate the recommendations. Cheers

if dont need extra features in ac86u or ac68u, ac1300hp more than enough.

spend extra cash for an AP or powerline to extend your wifi.

as an ex rtn12hp like u, i assure u that u will be very happy with rtac1300uhp like what i am using now.

just make sure for wifi, yr devices can run 5ghz to get full 100mbps, even 110mbs.

if using 2.4ghz, u will get same like rtn12hp.
*
Yeah. Just bought one. Quite pricey tbh but as long as I don hav to deal with the unstable speeds currently with the rtn12hp.

Hopefully it can deliver. Especially when it comes to range and obstacles.

Looking forward to installing n using it.

Yup I don think I need extra features as long as I can utilise that 100mbps.

However, ur point on getting an AP/power line did interest me.

Nvr thought about this to boost WiFi to higher floors.

If u r using one, mind suggesting a reliable AP n wat r the typical cost for a reasonable quality setup ?

i install rj45 to Ground floor and 2nd floor. my router is at 1st floor.

using ac68u as my main router bridge to airport extreme at ground floor and airport express at 2nd floor.

u can use your TM router as AP. Two options. RJ45 is the cheapest and most reliable solution but if u dont like to lay cables around your house, can use powerline. cost depends on model. i can just say its not cheap.

yes, not cheap... but is the most affordable for its performance, imo.

also, if u r paying for 100mbps, better get max juice from it! biggrin.gif

unless yr hse has many walls and u need to cover >60ft radius, will be fine.

Hi, is it possible to connect Lyra to rt-ac68u via AiMesh? Meaning ac68u as my main router and all three Lyra as my nodes.

Definitely much better than the RT-N12HP and it is another level compared to the stock Unifi router.

Log into your router, go to Advanced Settings, LAN, IPTV, and select the Unifi-Business profile. You can then use Port 4 for Internet as well.

Hi,

I'm using RT-N12HP_B1 router for my 50mbps unifi. I don't have issue with LAN connection but on wireless my speed drop drastically to below 5mbps. The distant is 2-3 meter from the router. Is there setting do I need to do to improve my speed? I already update the firmware to 3.0.0.4.380_8228.

Simple. I am assuming that you are connecting on the 2.4GHz band. It is probably saturated and full of interference
It’s either you use a WiFi analyzer in your phone or PC to analyze the wireless networks in your area and change to a less congested channel or get a better dual band router that can support 5GHz AC. I recomend the Asus RT-AC1300UHP.

Not in a budget to change a wireless router now. So temporary solution is that I need to change the channel to the less congested is it?

Yes. Use a wireless analyzer on your phone or PC and check which is the least congested channel.
