Hi

I bought RT-N12 C1 recently and upgraded to the latest firmware. Everything is working fine except somehow I can't add additional SSID. There is no "ADD" button by the side of SSID. Anyone  has any idea how do I enable multiple SSID for this model?

FYI.. I am using this Router as Access Point. Is this the cause of this issue?

Hi gilbert, old GUI will not have this function under AP mode. Below is the link for the beta firmware of new GUI. You can download and update it to get the Guest Network under AP mode.

Please do a factory reset before and after updating the firmware.

Hi,

Getting RT-N66U very soon and before that I need to reconfirm. It is an expensive router smile.gif

I am not too network savvy person. smile.gif So wondering is it easy to setup the RT-N66U for my unifi? And I presumed that the powerline home plug TP-Link PA511 is compatible with it right? Or what other suggestion you have for me?

http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details...del=TL-PA511KIT

Thanks.

Hi bo093, can you pm me your DSL-N12 serial number? I can help check whether your place is near to our distributor or not. If further than Wangsa Maju, then sorry that you need to send back to them to do the warranty claim.

Thank you

Hi irangan, yes it is very easy to set up the UNIFI setting. When you are choosing the connection type when setting up the internet connection, at the bottom of the list, there is a checkbox. Tick the checkbox and a list of ISP will pop out at the rigth side, choose your ISP and continue the step to finish the setup.

Thank you.

Hey there ASUSmy...

I've been using RT56U + UnifiBiz 5 for almost 2 years now with no problem. Firmwares update are getting better. My Netflix and Hulu Plus streaming are exceptional. I too just realized that the 5Ghz can go up to 450mbps. Thinking of getting an EA-N66 to maximized connection speed since I am only using XBOX360 for streaming on the 2.4Ghz band.

1) Will EA-N66 or USB-N53 go up to 450mbps?

I've been planning to upgrade and getting RT-AC66U too along with the PCE-AC66 since they support Unifi now right?

2) Where can I buy PCE-AC66 at the moment?

3) Is there any plan for the USB version for PCE-AC66? When?

Thank you.

Hi frozzbyte,

Yes, RT-N66U can support Maxis Fibre. By updating the newest firmware on web, you can do the setup just by selecting the correct ISP.

Thank you

ASUSmy,

for RT-N66U what this means "Upgrade NVRAM size from 32KB to 64KB"

_nvram_init: allocat header: 2183725056, size= 65536

what are the benefit i will get? will router perform better. i mean especially dealing with video streaming or etc.

btw when with ASUS release the replacement for Maxis Fiber Thompson router. many ppl are anticipate the new model from ASUS. to date ppl find access to TM fiber ONT. it will take time till TM find ways to seal the backdoor. i mean using all tech patches and legal means via user service contract.

just think of it, the innovation will inturn benefit ASUS. for this is what ppl actually wants for now and the future. it's a win win situation for all. where it can support basically all ISP availablle without hassle.

Hi toh2020,

By having bigger NVRAM, it allow you to do more setting and reduce the risk that the router will hang.

As for the thomson router we currently don't have the replacement yet.

Thank you
