Hi Asusmy,

I have this wireless router RT-N13U which comes with 3 years warranty for 1 to 1 exchange. This set is still under warranty. Can you please tell me where in KL I can go for the exchange, your service centre?

Thanks.

You can send back to the place you bought but they might charge you for the service charges due to most of the dealer only help send warranty for free within first year.

Hi,

Thanks for your prompt response.

Since I didn't buy the router from your suppliers, hence I believe they will charge me a fee. How much do you think is reasonable if they do charge?

Thanks again.

Hi digipaq,

Thank you

Hi shuyina,

At the first image, you can get your IP address, Default Gateway and the DNS from the Internet status.

The second image, after you get the information you can fill it on the page as shown on the image. Then you are finish setting up the static IP address.

Thank you

Hi trowa123,

The RT-N12 C1 can support Maxis broadband but cannot be used to replace the Thomson router if you want to use the VOIP.

May I know what is the firmware version or your router?

Thank you

Hi ,

You can refer to the link below as a reference if you want to add another router. Or you can put the LAN cable between RT-N12 C1 LAN port 3 and Thomson WAN port.

Please flash the firmware provided by the link below, it is newest firmware for RT-N12 C1.

Hi Asusmy
I have purchased 1 unit of Asus RT-N53 Router which i am connecting to the Huawei DTU unit.

The firmware is ASUS RT-N53 Firmware Version 3.0.0.4.264
I tried to setup to connect to the Internet but it fails everytime with the error :

"Detecting the internet connection type timed out, do you want to try again"

I have double checked my user id and password which is correct as it can log in to Unifi OCC.

As such please advise what to do next?

Hi VCBlogger,

When selecting the connection type, at the bottom there is a check box. Tick the check box and a list of ISP will show up at the right. Select your ISP and see you can connect or not.

Thank you

Could not work as well

Error below :

Authentication failed.

The account name and password are not correct.
Click Wireless Setting to enter the login information again. Click Select Internet Type to select another Internet connection type.

Its definitely not the wireless setting otherwise i could not access the 192.168.1.1 address.
Its definitely not the unifi password as it can connect to unifi online system.

Is this a firmware bug or incompatibility?
