Are all Asus wireless router affected? Will there be patches soon?

Not really, Asus may not be affected. Mikrotik as a typical AP aren't affected. The key is not to reuse your nonce. Mikrotik's WDS is affected, latest version has it fixed, maybe.

Here you can see who is and who is not affected. Asus is unknown at the moment.

Hi, I am using Time broadband with Asus RT-AC66U.
previously with 20mbps was no problem.
after upgraded to 300mbps, problem has come.
i believe that this router is able to use for 300mpbs speed, correct?
if so, why i always getting the speed jumping .. 100mbps later jump 300mbps.. then 100mbps again. is that router setting issue?
as i called Time due to my line was subscribe under astro iptv.. they have no data show, they ask me to call back astro. Astro only tell me 1 thing... my router is not supported by them, so ask me ask back my agent. What the hell..
so .. I would like to seek you help on this. any suggestion?

hey guys, so i am using a AC5300 Asus router..
unifi recently upgraded my connection to 500mbps
i am able to get speed of 500mbps on lan cable, but when i try it on wifi it becomes 300++ only even though when im next to the router
i have tried updating the firmware to the latest, restarted router + unifi ONU, etc etc

tested using my laptop that is able to get 500mbps on wifi in another location..

anyone got any idea why?

yup, my alienware is capable of getting that kinda speed, elsewhere though.

Some update on my 86u issue.
The LAN4 setup for IPTV (UNIFI-HOME) is slow to detect when I switch on my IPTV box from standby mode. It takes about 60 second for the LAN4 to connect. I timed for 15-20times and it is consistently 60 seconds.

When I setup the router for the first time, the LAN4 usually connects within 3 seconds. However, after placing the IPTV box on standby, subsequent switch on time takes 60 seconds. I repeated and reset to factory default and retry. The same observation where first time switch on is 3 seconds after that from standby mode is 60 seconds.

So the current work around is wait for 60seconds after powering on, and wait for the LAN4 to connect (the yellow LAN warning sign will disappear), then click into Hypptv. Works all the time. Just a bit of hassle and I need a fix

dear Asus, I just tested my Unifi 500mb with my Asus RT-AC55UHP and it never over 300mb speed test, but when i try router provided by TM TPLink AC1200 it can run full speed 500+mb, so now i sure problem come from RT-AC55UHP, any solution? i already update to latest firmware...

Kinda confusing, to achieve max speed using cable connection, we need to have a router with gigabit lan n wan rite?

if i got turbo upgraded, i thought they should provide a router which is capable of reaching that speed?

Everything wireless is prone to wireless interference. The matter is the severity of it.

Lyra and AiMesh uses the 5Ghz band for backhaul by default. Thus, the interference is less significant compared to 2.4Ghz.
