QUOTE(Xirality @ Aug 14 2013, 03:42 PM) Need to do a few things here.First, you need to dig out the composite cable which bundles with the system. The one with the yellow, red and white head. Plug that into your PS3. So now, your PS3 will have an HDMI cable plugged in as well as the composite. Now, go to the XMB menu and set your sound output through the composite cable (the one with the red-white head). You will have video from HDMI output and sound from composite cable output. You need to convert the red-white head to a 3.5mm jack. You can get those in almost every Ace Hardware store. Sells at RM3.50 . Quality depending. There's also cables from red-white female to 3.55mm male if you are lucky enough to find one. Worst case, go to Pasar Road and get a high quality one. Once you have converted the analogue audio output to 3.5mm, plug it to your PC speaker input. But if you want to plug direct to headphones, you will need a headphone amp. |

Guys, need your help a bit
I backed up my PS3 data to an external HDD using the PS3's backup utility last month But now I wanted to restore it back but the PS3 can detect the HDD but it cannot detect the backup data. What seems to be the problem? @@ The folders are all in correct order, PS3>EXPORT>BACKUP. I am totally clueless now on how to solve this UPDATED: Found out that the archive.dat file is missing, how could it be? @@ This post has been edited by shinjite: Aug 18 2013, 02:54 AM |

Most 3G or 4G service provided by telcos have built in firewalls and private IPs (or something to that effect). They're not design for MP gaming. While dload speed may be fast the restrictions prevent having good online gaming hence you face this problems.![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(silrave @ Aug 26 2013, 01:55 AM) you can save to a hdd and later transfer to new ps3 (hdd must be FAT32 format)Some saves cannot be transferred to hard drive and only way you can save it is online (if you have PS+ associated to that account). THen when you log in to the other PS3 just download the save file. |

Recently my PS3 got 8002F1F9 error
It happened during firmware upgrading. The PS3 prompted me to upgrade my firmware and so I did via the LAN cable. The error message appeared halfway thru the upgrade and no matter how many times I restarted the PS3 or restart the upgrade the error message kept coming back like a bad nightmare. I then went on the internet to find out about this error and found that it refers to a corrupted HDD. I also learned about PS3's safe mode boot up and how to take out the HDD. I reformated the HDD to FAT32 using my PC. I also reformatted a USB stick to FAT32 and downloaded the latest firmware into it. Booted up the PS3 in safe mode and chose "System update". Finally my PS3 is alive again!! |
