Guys, need your help a bit
I backed up my PS3 data to an external HDD using the PS3's backup utility last month But now I wanted to restore it back but the PS3 can detect the HDD but it cannot detect the backup data. What seems to be the problem? @@ The folders are all in correct order, PS3>EXPORT>BACKUP. I am totally clueless now on how to solve this UPDATED: Found out that the archive.dat file is missing, how could it be? @@ This post has been edited by shinjite: Aug 18 2013, 02:54 AM |

Recently, I finally bought over my friend's PS3 Slim and replaced its HDD and got it up and running. OMG, nostalgic indeed....Main thing was to replay Metal Gear games. XD

QUOTE(TongCN @ May 6 2024, 11:43 AM) My Playstation 3 Slim [2009 model] bought on year 2010 seems gg now My best bet like what Omochao suggested is the failed NEC tokins. Most of the time ppl will go straight for the reballing of the RSX which is a riskier move.Press power button [green] > Run 5-10 seconds (screen shows nothing) > 3 beeps sound > Power button flash red Seems like overheat? I did change the HDD afterward and the screen does show something "connect dualshock to continue" but it quickly gone away with 3 beeps sound and flash red light |
