My car is 2 weeks old, the brake is very loud, the one you can hear from the inside when you step on brake pedal until certain limit and release it.

If compare to my friend's Vios, the brake noise of my City is very exaggerating.
Are all City the same? Or there's something wrong with my brake?

What rims are u using bro? Standard Stock? Well 1st time i have seen people change 2 tyres at a time..if they do also is when its same dimension....well no harm but well logically u ride will be heavier and not that balance..and if u are using stock rims then it will look like "Donut"...haha but thats not the main issue...stock rims cant really handle 205...the Width of it wont hold it as stable so when even u change it wider it wont help in stability...rubber are flexible and the rims are to hold them in place yea?..in ur case the front set is lighter and will be dragging a heavet set at the rear...dats if u proceed..thats my opinion...no offence ya...if u did it already do drop the feedback here...i also wana know...=)

Having same problem after 1 week ownership. Refer to the sc they said wait until 10k then the sound should disappear. Now 6 months and mileage reach 11k sound is still there. Ask sc and they replied is was normal.

Anyone else having the same brake noise problem?
I know auto car brake always have this noise, but it is too loud to be normal.

E spec rim can fit 205. A lot of us are doing that.
But bro, if you wanna replace tyres, please do all 4. and from then, rotate more frequently so you will have even tyre wear.

BlackWoods, What kind of brake noise are you talking about? high speed above 100km/h whirring noise when you brake? or low speed? or crawling?

but e-spec rim definitely hit the fender? the tyre shop boss advise me not to use 205 and stick with 185. that's why i pick michelln xm2 instead of PS3 in last month.

45K on the odometer and the only brake noise that is emitted when i applied the brakes is like the grinding gears but the noise is negligible as it is on a very low frequency and doesn't last. It only occurs every time i have a car wash though therefore i believe that the water must have somehow "rinse" off the grease that is supposed to be on the disc.

5 years warranty & unlimited mileage.

the normal car engine oil change is at a 5K mileage interval. though some may tell you the better the engine oil (fully synthetic etc) may lasts you up to 10k but i never believed so.

i believed when you first bought the car, a change of engine oil is required after the first 1k.

By "broke" do you mean a hairline crack or a piece of the glass fell out?

Assuming it is a hairline crack, I am not sure if it can be mended but you could give those shops which fixes cracks on windscreen a try but be reminded that plastic and glass do react differently.

Accessory shops sells foglamps in pairs so it would be quite hard for you get one from them, MAYBE you can get one from your local "chop shop". I am sure by now there are many City parts lying around there.
