just some doubt. I had replaced 4 pcs of Osram Night Breaker for my City FL (just 6 months old) headlamp. It burnt one side follow by another side with the lifespan around 3 months. Anyone of you suffer the same situation with me?

I just replaced mine few days ago (The Osram NB+).. I'm aware they have shorter lifespan compared to OEM bulb but 3 month?? Did you or the person installing the bulb accidently touch the glass bare handed?

I was hoping it could last for at least a year..
*
Perhaps I accidentally touch the glass.. so is better to wear the glove during installing... The bulb still able to use after a month when i tried to plug in again, but the light become yellowish instead of having some white light...

Yeah, the oil on our finger can cause the glass to get really hot so a glove is recommended just in case. Hoping mine can last at least year.. RM80+ per set is not cheap. Huhu.
*
Indeed... quite hard to avoid for not touching the glass with bare hand. dude, kinda heart pain that i bought 2 set to change within 9 months. now have to get the 3rd set... zzzz. so you just change the head lamp? how about the side lamp and fog lamp?

depends le. sometimes u suay get wrong batch, sometimes the fella dunno how to install correctly (touch the glass with his fingers)

I'm on philips crystalvision. one bulb fused once. so had to buy another set. about RM180.
Change my fogs to the same lights, RM190-210. see nego skills. haha

Good thing about philips, come with matching T10s.
*
Maybe i should buy from another dealer in JB or just buy from SG in case it happens to same batch. Btw, I heard Osram for the fog quite easy to loose in connection. That's why i never install that.

Philip nice huh? never try before. what's the price for whole set and any photo to share?

VA or VC?

If VA

+ All stuff in City E spec
+ leather seat
+ touchscreen HU with bluetooth
+ reverse camera
+ solar protection tint (whatever that is)
+ only in white and grey
+ only 300 unit

All that for extra RM5k.

superb in night but poor during rain, after rain.. need to change my fog bulb to pure yellow like michiba i think..  biggrin.gif

End up I installed with Philip Xenon 4200k HID for the low & high beam, fog light with Philip 4300k. Not really used to 4200k light beam yet. Hopefully this matching allows me to get good vision during raining night time driving as well.

I wanna share my findings on the so called modding our NHC. When lurking around in LYN, I stumble upon this Used Pivot Mega Raizin and Spark Earth. Then I research through the net about the originality of the item as there are many imitation and replica being sold and I found this web Pivot Mega Raizin Asli dan Palsu( an indonesian forum thread) as this is the most complete review on the fake and original comparison. So finally I bought it. Then last week I already instal it to my engine bay.

Please note that before the addition of these 2 item, I've already installed ;
So I remove the Cheapo Zaptor VS and installed these Pivot Mega Raizin and another Spark Earth. Pivot Ignition Earth,2 Pivot Spark Earth near the spark plug 10mm bolt. Here is my findings (maybe placebo effect but I don't mind as when I feel it, it is real(at least for me));

Nope, I mean the RPM band is consistent not pushing it as if force induction, just smoothen it to the whole RPM band. It's just me rev it till redline to test any difference.
*
in total how much it cost? I'm interest to install as well.

Mine has been stolen twice eventho i already rub elephant glue inside the cap. No worries abt tht. Just give hard twist on the cap and pull it away will do
*
been stolen twice, sorry to hear that... Hard twist enough strength to remove? I thought need to use spanner and give a hard clamp to twist it open. lol....

anyway, thanks for your sharing!

Need some advice..should I upgrade the gps+ reverse camera (rm 3.5k) and modulo bodykit (ABS) (rm2.5k) by Honda or better if I do it outside instead?
*
i got no idea for GPS + reverse camera.

but modulo bodykit, i more prefer to install from outside because the price at least cheaper (around RM1.5k or even cheaper)

anyone got recommendation for modulo bodykit installation at JB area??

Haha sure, after air filter I'm replacing the tire first. Switching to 15" instead of 16". tongue.gif
To be honest I have no faith in groupon deals. If you want affordable sound proofing just look for Sh@rty 5
*
wow.. so fast change to 15" for better comfort? haha.. i just change my tyres to XM2. So not going to change the tires until the next batch. Perhaps that time think to change to sport rims with wider tyres. lol...

Yeah comfort and price. Haha. How's XM2? Using 15" as well?

I'm looking at 205/55/R15 or 195/60/R15 now.. not sure which one to go yet.
*
i'm using 185/55/R16, much more comfort compare to stock tyres... wanted to look for 205/50/R16 PS3, but the boss keep saying stock rims cant fit 205 and would hit the fender hardly after out from his shop because there's a sliding slope to
main road. So he strongly not recommended..

ya, might get the rims from Singapore if cant find any suitable in JB after a year. anyway 205/55/R16 would fit without hitting the fender right?

Anyone reduce to 15" instead of 16"? please share the feelings..
