Yes, only the facelifted E-Spec comes with traction control/Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA). It worth more than anything I can say, safety is priceless.
Glad I got it in my E spec. v8.0 The OFFICIAL 3G/5G Honda City 2011 thread, The new City, where to next?

My car is 2 weeks old, the brake is very loud, the one you can hear from the inside when you step on brake pedal until certain limit and release it.
If compare to my friend's Vios, the brake noise of my City is very exaggerating. Are all City the same? Or there's something wrong with my brake? |

QUOTE(ahfad @ Jul 16 2013, 11:10 AM) Having same problem after 1 week ownership. Refer to the sc they said wait until 10k then the sound should disappear. Now 6 months and mileage reach 11k sound is still there. Ask sc and they replied is was normal. Man, what a joke, ask to wait until 10k milleage then say it is normal?Anyone else having the same brake noise problem? I know auto car brake always have this noise, but it is too loud to be normal. |

QUOTE(MoNnY @ Jul 16 2013, 11:42 AM) BlackWoods, What kind of brake noise are you talking about? high speed above 100km/h whirring noise when you brake? or low speed? or crawling? QUOTE(mytaffeta @ Jul 16 2013, 08:10 PM) Should be low speed and "crawling", not sure the term used is what I want to express or not.Let say you can step 100% on the brake, but when you step only around 30-60% of the brake and release it bit by bit, the noise will come on. I can hear this noise from almost all automatic transmission car, but the one in my City is far too loud, even my song playing at volume 12-13 I can still hear it clearly, kinda annoying. |

QUOTE(skylinegtr34 @ Jul 29 2013, 03:01 PM) yeah honda is trying to suck us as much as possible. Vios is still doing 5k interval, they are confusing their customers also.for me, i drive a lot due to my job. average 5000km less than 1 month. so its like 25-30 days for each service and the cost is really sky high. im also planning to service outside after 100K km, to ensure my engine n gearbox dont have any manufacturer defect. the cost servicing outside would be 2-3x cheaper than what honda price now. after calculation i might as well save the 2-3x cheaper maintenance and void the warranty. If honda revise to 10k interval then i might continue to service. really stupid Honda malaysia. even vios and almera is doing 10k. Mazda2/3 too My gf just double confirmed her Vios service interval is 5k as well |

QUOTE(babygrand123 @ Jul 29 2013, 03:50 PM) hallo bro vios owner here service every 10K by using semi oil and don't spread fake news by listening people said this and that ok. Thanks for u cooperation and selamat hari raya to all Hallo bro not spreading fake news, you want believe or not is up to you okay and I don't give a damn whether you take it or not, just sharing info that I got here. Selamat Hari Raya to you.Back on topic, the service interval on Honda site is really confusing as well. My guess is Honda Malaysia is implementing 10k interval but greedy dealers insist want to do 5k so that they can get more profit. |

QUOTE(JaysonGoh @ Oct 29 2013, 05:55 PM) Honda fully synthetic engine oil got 2 types, 0W-20 is more on fuel efficiency while 5W40 is more on performance, I'm using 0W20 all the time on my City never try any others before but I feel the FC is quite good. The original price for 0W-20 is RM150.59 after 20% discount is RM120.47 I'm using the 0W-20 as well now after 2000km+ (which is actually 5k service but my mileage is low)The FC is the same when my City came out from factory with the mineral. Driving style is the same. Feel a bit waste of money..lol |

QUOTE(ascll @ Nov 11 2013, 03:25 PM) Hi BlackWoods, Vivahill Auto in Penang, I didn't ask to get the bottle, so unclear what's the real engine oil they give me.Mind to share which SC you did the servicing? Are you sure they changed the 0W-20 engine oil? I have the same experience as you, and I changed mine at OKR. I doubt the engine oil they replaced If you read my post, you will know why I'm in doubt QUOTE(killerfly @ Nov 13 2013, 12:10 PM) guys plan to bring my own engine oil to SC for servicing... any recommendations? Your warranty over already?castrol magnatec? liqui moly? btw our city needs 4L or 5L? Using non Honda engine oil will void your warranty. Over warranty can just bring to outside workshop, cheaper a lot. City needs 4L |

QUOTE(kucingfight @ Nov 18 2013, 12:56 AM) About 70% highway 30% city drive? What engine oil you are currently using? I'm on 0W20 now, Shell 95 around 340KM, 11.8km/l, 75% City 25% Highway. Shell tends to give slight better FC (Around 10-15km more) but can feel the lose of power and torque. |

QUOTE(Chongky @ Nov 24 2013, 02:33 AM) my city full tank only can run 330km++ only. When refill the tank only 30 to 31 liter. More or less the same like me, mine's slightly worse at 300~320km before the indicator lights up.the FC of my car not good. i'm using Caltex. and semi syn oil Using 0W20 Fully synthetic oil, last time was on normal mineral, FC didn't improve. Tried Shell, Caltex, Petronas and Petron, don't know what's the problem or the FC it's like that already. |

QUOTE(JaysonGoh @ Nov 24 2013, 04:30 PM) Your driving style? City drive all the time? Because last time when I using 0W20 fully-sync engine oil did bring me a very good FC, now using 5W40 performance got better but FC slightly higher for my eco driving style but if driving a bit more aggressive the FC will increase higher I think it's because VTEC kick in easily QUOTE(kucingfight @ Nov 24 2013, 08:13 PM) again, which driving conditions? as i've shared several times, i've managed 550-600km / full tank consistently. My driving style is quite conservative, only rev higher when overtake, but this is like only 5%.70% City drive, 30% highway. I don't rev high as our City low end torque is weak, but consistently I'm stuck in traffic jam in Penang. Anyone has done any mod or remapping the ECU for better low end torque? Or it is limited by our engine and can't be changed? |

QUOTE(JaysonGoh @ Nov 25 2013, 09:38 AM) One of the way to solve low end torque use 5W40 fully sync engine oil Was thinking to change from 0W20 to the semi-synthetic on my next service instead 5W40 is quite expensive at RM2xx if not mistaken? I've read about voltage stabilizer + grounding cable before, the result varies from different car and driver, so not sure if it really helps. I think it improves more on ICE and maybe just a tad bit in FC and torque, or they are just placebo effect. |

QUOTE(JaysonGoh @ Nov 25 2013, 10:07 AM) 5W40 I pay only around RM140/150 due to got 20% discount, where you service your car at? Did you check and see when they change the engine oil or request for the remaining? Last few weeks when I service my car 20K I straight go to behind and check if they use the correct engine oil and also straight ask the technician put the remaining to my car but left a little bit only. Yours service got any discount? I didn't check them as I just pass my key to them and leave, I didn't wait at the service center nor request for the remaining oil, will do so next time.I service at Vivahill Auto, Penang, and they don't allow customer to walk into their workshop. |
