some comments after 2months driving:

a) yes, it's silent, even at times i'm not sure if i've actually started the engine
b) S spec, stock tire goodyear GT3 is relatively noisy, can't wait to change it when it's due
c) As i travel frequently back to my hometown, 20km/l is achievable. my latest drive got me 600km (brim -> low light fuel up) .So far, i find petronas suits my drive best. I'm a driver that practises ECO driving
d) sound proofing is quite good, like many, front passenger glove area has some rattling sound over certain bumps profile
e) AC is a weak on a hot day. even MAX setting coldness takes quite a while to cool down the entire cabin
f) fabric and door panels attracts alot of marks/stain
g) handbrake fitting/quality feels cheap and 'loose'. doesn't give you the impression of well fitted. am I the only one feeling it?

where you did the bold above and how much it cost?

for door and floor SP, i recommend KL Auto.. costly but review is damn positive.. rclxms.gif
or @shorty5 can do the door for good price..
*
notworthy.gif thanks for the recommendation , and yes, was talking with another City owner today , and it seems the sound proofing for the City is real bad

Here is what we would recommend, start with the floor , we used STP for the most basic package Rm 850 for the whole floor , but if we can get 3 , might be able to get it done for Rm 7xx? biggrin.gif

Or boot, basic STP at Rm 380 , FOC one layer of Thermo Sponge, those who liked our FB page should know what we mean icon_rolleyes.gif

As for the tyre , we are not doing it at the moment, as it is really very very very very subjective, regardless of which famous sp shop u go to, tyre , trust me, might regret paying so much for something so little. Unless, you guys send one white mouse to get it done first laugh.gif

Unlike the floor, same material used on any car, significant difference is there, as for tyre noise, some car spent 1.2k and doesn't reduce any noise, so same method of application might work on one car but not the other...

* there fore we always ask our customer to get a quieter tyre first , we do not wan't customer to regret spending too much on tyre sound proof, we want customer to get out from our place with a smile and positive feedback , and recommending their friends.

And of course Silent Coat , we do have it too thumbup.gif

Like our page, and keep updated with our sound proof promotion, but the boot STP package for only Rm 380 with FOC one layer of in house thermo sponge, is something you should never missed wink.gif

a. yea, i confused sometimes also if i already started the engine
b. agree, the tires irritating me alot during my driving.
c. so far yours fc is the most impressive one. i never achieve more than 500km. may i ask how much speed you maintain all the time?
d. last week i went sc fix the rattling sound, but when hit a really bad bumps, dashboard still have little noise
but overall more acceptable compare with before fix.
e. AC is working fine for me (we installed the same types of tint right? haha)
f. agree, the seats look dusty easily. that's why i dint take out the plastic until have the leather covered. but the door panel is evitable. i clean almost everyday.
g. +1. the handbrake quality could be better...

Sh@rty, one of these day we might come and arrange a group installation for a few Cities in this thread. Make sure to give us good price brows.gif

Does soundproofing the boot area have any significant effect on the NVH of the car?

Already liked your FB page, too much poison already. tongue.gif

a) Agree even my friend also get shock wow why the engine so quiet when I start the engine
b) Already used to my 2nd Gen City tire so not really a problem just sometimes when speeding on highway will feel a little bit loud
c) Wow, your FC is really impressive. After 9 months of driving and been using fully synthetic engine 0W-20 still can't achieve 500km full tank. But my driving behavior sometimes could be aggressive especially when at highway tak boleh tahan people tailgate me tongue.gif
d) The sound proofing is ok for me acceptable as maybe had been used to old car bad sound proofing so this is quite a significant improve for me
e) AC is very good for me, my coldness setting hardly pass half of the circle. When parking under sun only few times open until half of the circle or a bit more so night impossible over half. Usually my air cond coldness setting is only on 3th-4th bar and fan speed on 1-2.
f) Agree especially the door panel always got marks/stain so I had kept a small piece of cloth inside the storage below the centre arm rest so that when always waiting on traffic light/jam I can use the small cloth to clean it with the free time sweat.gif
g) Mine handbrake is tight

Am not happy with this sc in sri utama

After the last service there last week I found out they topped up tire wiyh nornal air after specifically telling them not to do so...

How I found out was when I wanted to top up the nitrogen today the tire shop told me my tires are all at currebtly 38 psi when I usually only do 30 with nitrogen...

No wonder my ride felt so damn hard these few days...

Now after sownding rm4 for top up I have to spend another rm30 to flush and refill nitrogen...

Dude put the big [STOP] warning sign near the tire valve. Haha. Like those K&N Air Filter warning sign biggrin.gif

Btw, does using Nitrogen really have a positive effect on the ride? More comfy? Better handling?

a lot to be said on nitrogen but the only benefit i feel which is true is that they dont loose that much as compared to normal air ...

if normal air i have to top up every week, loosing 2 - 5 psi a week

if nitrogen in a month i only loose 2 - 3 psi
