And needs a polish and claying on the car as well ... This post has been edited by earl-ku: Dec 28 2012, 04:32 AM |

all new models is on the 10k service interval http://www.honda.com.my/model/newservicepackage/city/ i am gonna change to fully synthetic next time around and move the service interval to 10k ... warranty over edy ... else do outside ... way way cheaper ... but i like the preventive maintenance they do, they check a lot of stuff ... 60k km service coming up ... running at 58k now This post has been edited by earl-ku: Mar 21 2013, 12:16 AM |

QUOTE(winterwish @ Mar 21 2013, 10:39 AM) This has been discussed few pages back, the new City does not have this 10k interval. Only the new Civic and CRV. Unless SC specifically told you otherwise.. huhu. The issue was discussed even in the previous version of this thread ... in Singapore(all model) there is a 10k service interval schedule .... they use full syn and that will last u 10k kmThe Honda site is confusing, even Honda Malaysia Facebook said the new City got 10k service interval.. really malaysia only do 5k, regardless what oil u use... so now they are allowing other cars, so why not city too ... hmm they just want to milk us dry la This post has been edited by earl-ku: Mar 21 2013, 11:02 PM |

just did my 60k service which includes flushing the ATF ... includes 9L of ATF which they say is that much as they use a machinese to flush, but of the 9 only 4 will go into the gear box ...
is the flushing really necessary? as 9L x 33 per L, thats 270+ just the ATF and another RM55 ATF flush service service for 60k is about 650+ and this is without the air filter change as i am changing to k&n ... |

QUOTE(MoNnY @ Apr 30 2013, 03:09 PM) forgot where i heard, but it's not good to flush your transmission. True ... kena edy ...a simple drain, and refill will do. when u drain the ATF, whatever loose bits of metal will follow it. now, imagine after draining, you flush the transmission. whatever sediments leftover, will just be washed around the entire transmission. unless you really have a transmission problem, tell them don't need to flush. just drain and replace the ATF will do. same goes for the engine flush nonsense. You have a oil filter and u change oil regularly for a reason. there should be no need to flush an engine. Service center gimmick to make more money from u. they can say longer labour, and use more ATF. labour itself you should know the SC don't charge cheap. imagine they plug that machine for 30 mins, they will charge u. and is the guy even there working on your car? no. just the machine running. |

QUOTE(winterwish @ May 15 2013, 10:51 AM) Sorry I don't remember where I saw the DIY.. in of the honda city forum I think. This fella take down the back seat and put some rubber thing on the plastic thing or something. Haha. Front no sound? I got sound on the centre console (the player). Really no idea how to fix that. Welcome to the club Why didn't opt for the VA? Finish already eh. 2.35% from RHB loan? I'm planning to, someday. Saving up for insurance/roadtax renewal in August now.. huhu. Hmm not sure if other shop got but you can DIY if you want, why you don't want to go to HT Auto? I saw their workmanship is not bad since they've been doing it on several City already. QUOTE(MoNnY @ May 15 2013, 01:34 PM) Hmm true alsoAnyone knows agak agak how much is it? |

QUOTE(winterwish @ May 15 2013, 09:32 PM) Yeah quite expensive but think of it this way, once you got the trunk release, you can seal off the keyhole at the back preventing thief from trying to pry it open with screw driver. (saw a few cases already) my keyhole already sealed first day got the car .. hence this is a good mod for me ... just kedekut with the 350 only hahaha |

QUOTE(Ya Rerd @ Jun 12 2013, 04:10 PM) Hi guys, the original belkin 1A works fine since iphone days ... now using samsung - just change cable only ... still okI am not sure whether this has been asked before but I can't seem to find any trail if it was. Anyway, the question is do you guys know which in-car charger would work with a Honda City 2007? I bought a charger from Avantree (model TR201) and it doesn't even connect at all with the power outlet in the car. Any advice guys? QUOTE(mytaffeta @ Jun 13 2013, 04:12 AM) just sharing my experience with pumatec ceramic 500.. actually general driving guide during descend is use the lower gears to slow down, then brake as needed ... hence u have a backup to stop, if you only use brake, then if that fails, this is what u get ...this brake pad grip is good for daily usage, better than stock.. just.. y'day i climb up to genting highland and the weather is cold, the fog is quite thick.. my brake pad start to fail when going down.. decide to stop.. can smell burnt rubber from the pad, and there is smoke as well.. maybe im wrong for not heat up the pad before going downhill.. but is this necessary? |

QUOTE(killerfly @ Jun 24 2013, 02:32 PM) i've got the same problem, been highlighting to the SC guys past few visits everytime say nothing wrong with spark plug or battery... even change my stock battery once dead after 1yr.. they say not related... now phobia coz my warranty ending Sept2013.. planning to change to a better battery or add grounding cables, hope it wud help... any advise from sifus here? QUOTE(kiatzz @ Jun 24 2013, 04:49 PM) Hi, just check with you. Did the both of you manage to get the extra grounding cable from the SC?Isit something like when you try to start it the sound like "tuckz" then you'll need to turn again to start it up? If this is the case, i have reported at least two times and these SC fellas say it's related to the battery hence the battery has been change and the issue persist.. i not sure how true but so far until now no problem.. My car now is ngam ngam 3 years and running 90k+ mileage now and no major issue i have the same issue too, first complain they check the battery loading, said ok, next service go they said the grounding, so they add a tiny cable from body to battery then next service, said my batt loading low, so i changed to panasonic batt, yet the issue still there, i went back complain, they said honda malaysia knows this and begins shipping out this thick earthing cable and installed, 3x piece batt to body, engine cover to body and another location ... now the cranking issue very less, but like is when we off engine, the gear stick not pushed to P, as in we kill off the engine while in N or something la ... i also malas wanna monitor edy » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by earl-ku: Jul 2 2013, 05:08 AM |
