I'm collecting my Honda City tomorrow. Polished metal is the color.

Going to send it for tinting (opting for black, or grey) for all sides except for the back I will do a double layer (to reduce the glare from cars using high beam).

I want to install the new grill and a central lock (either rpm or pedal lock), I wonder how much these cost?

If you're looking for OEM DVD navigation for our City, Caska is the best choice.

The new Caska with new D116 interface, not sure if it's available in English interface.  drool.gif

I'm actually planning to use this size for my next tire as well, hard to find eh?
I'm using ADrive, FC not much different than stock (got about 460km per tank or so), wear I'm not sure since its been only a few month since I change my tire. I don't remember how the old one sound but City road noise insulation is terrible so I think pretty much the same. Haha.

Does anyone feel that our car is a bit heavy to accelerate? I always feels like I'm carrying a huge load in the back or something.. it helps if I could lose a few KGs myself but I feels like the car could do better.
*
I agree with the heavy feel to the car's acceleration. Is it due to its heavier weight compare to other sedan in it's range? Need some data for comparison.

Otherwise, I wonder if it's because the car kicked in a gear lower than it should when we needed the boost? However the fact remains that the engine is considered small for the size it's enclosed in.

Other than it, the car feels quite solid doing 130km/hr but what can you expect from a 1,500?

Wonder if anyone can shed some light over tire size such as 195 vs 185 and 55 vs 50?

Make sure the pen drive is formatted to FAT32 but not NTFS.  smile.gif
*
That is correct. It's formatted to FAT32. I tried 32GB and 8GB. Doesn't work on both. Came out "DEVICE" on the panel.

Hi all, my NHC clocked to 1300km now..Rm 60 can max reach 340-350km only. totaly city drive...but no traffic jam (small hometown)..only speed below 80kmh..sometimes can go for 1 min 100kmh...do you all experienced bros tihnk this is normal? or need after 5k service only can achieve better FC?
*
I'm doing 400km for RM55-RM58. I travel from smile.gif to smile.gif though.

My range will clock 1,000km by Friday this week. Perhaps its because of the new engine and me travelling on the highway.

195/185 is the width of the tire, wider is generally better for stability and handling but will also increase the fuel consumption a bit.

55/50 is the thickness of the tire profile (the sidewall). thicker profile will make the care more comfortable but will also cause more body roll compared to a thin profile. Thin profile looks good (especially on 17" rim) but the car will be quite harsh and hard..

The default City (E) is 185/55/R16..

Hope this shed some light to your question, it may not be the brightest light though. Haha.
Your MP3 bitrate is below 320k? Mine work flawlessly with Kingston 32GB thumbdrive.
What happen to your car? The side mirror issue?
Price quite good, thanks for sharing.

That's a good insight. Some of the mp3 files does come in 320k format. I removed them, going to try again.

Basically for E-spec is using 6j rim which means the max we can go for width is 205. There is the 3% upsize rule where our current stock tyres size diameter do not EXCEED 3% if you're going for a bigger tyres. Because of the change in size, your speedometer readings will also change. However if you upgrade below the 3% rule, your speedo reading wont so different.

205/50/R16 our speedometer will only have a diff of 0.2% or 0.1mph faster. With this spec your speedometer readings will be 0.2% greater than indicated. When your speedo reads 30mph you will actually be doing 30.1mph

195/50/R16 our speedometer will have a diff of 1.4% or 0.4mph slower. With this spec your speedometer readings will be 1.4% lessor than indicated. When your speedo reads 30mph you will actually be doing 29.6mph

195/55/R16 our  speedometer will have a diff of 1.8% or 0.5mph faster. With this spec your speedometer readings will be 1.8% greater than indicated. When your speedo reads 30mph you will actually be doing 30.5mph

As we can see, the best optimum spec which is closest to our 185/55/R16 will be 205.

If wanna change rim then

205/45/R17 is the best option... as only diff of 1.0% or 0.3mph faster.

If you use 17" rim, doesn't it limit your turning radius, causing your tire to rub against the wall?

I am too looking forward to getting a larger rim but did not think about it since that was what I was advised by Honda.

ya thats why to minimize the diameter to it original state, recommend to use 45 wall profile. Else if larger then might rub the fender abit
Ori/Oem genuine got rubber lining, those that doesnt apply the rubber lining is either imitation or oem but wanna cut cost and omit the rubber lining. The rubber lining helps prevent water to sip inbetween the bodykit which will wear out the double sided tape.
*
Ah cool, so for 17" rim, the best tire profile to go while maintaining maximum wheel diameter will be 205/45/R17. What will be the 17" profile to fit the 205/45/R17 tire?

I managed to solved the pen drive issue. It is caused by custom allocation size being more than 8k byte per unit. Higher than that and the player will not be able to read anything, too low and your songs might take too long to be indexed.

I tried 2 different USB drive, one can and one cannot, eventhough the wan that can't play was formatted into FAT32.
*
I found the problem to be caused by using higher allocation file size, more than 8k bytes, when formating.

Ah, good to know. But I'm curious why didn't it defaulted to 8k byte per unit when you formated the pendrive?
I changed the default allocation file size to a higher size to increase transfer rate but any allocation size higher than 8k bytes is not compatible with the car player.

I notice there's a maximum level for volume no matter how high you continue to increase it. If you continue to increase the volume from level 25 onward, there's not much difference from 35. Prevents user from destroying their speakers and their hearing I guess... smile.gif

Hey guys, any one of you tracking your fuel consumption? I previously did it using Google Spreadsheet but then I found one of lowyat member using Fuelly (http://www.fuelly.com/). =D

Edit: Here's mine, http://www.fuelly.com/driver/cdableu/city-e-series

I reckon if you swap the stock CD Player with DVD touchscreen sure problem solved  tongue.gif
I've been wanting to try this, but too bad there's no app for it otherwise it will be super easy to do the data entry. Did you update the data when you get back to your computer every time?
*
Yes, I posted the link, you can input using the android app right away. The app is HTML5 base.

I am already tracking mine. Just click on the link and you can see my profile.

hello all, im using city facelift and already changing to 17" wheel 7jj front and 8jj rear with altenzo sport comforter tyre 205/45/17.  pression is, a little bit bumpy than before and yea, people say changing to 17 will sacrifice comfort. FC consumption not so noticeable for me, haha. but have a long braking distance than before due to heavier wheels and tyre,  thinking to add some lower spring to minimise the bumpy case. just sharing my experience. smile.gif
*
I'm drooling for some pictures, thanks for sharing. I knew other things would need to be upgraded to go with the 17". careful with the stop distance though. let's not wreck this beauty. a lot of user pointed out the sacrifice for comfort when converting to a thinner tire for 17" rim and upgrading the suspension would compensate things back.

the spec is comparable to city other than not having a gear shifter. other than that, can someone enlighten me the differences between this two car?

I am feeling butthurt now...

po-40 ? i googled it, sound interesting!

any seller recommended here??
*
I am interested too and from what I see, I think it does not void your car's warranty.

I also found this accessory called hapticSTART (http://www.i-ets.com/index.php/menu02/0202) that allows you to go key-less for both door lock and starting your car's engine. It seems to allow you to do what Po-40 does but I am not sure if it also folds your side mirror. From the installation video available from their website (http://www.i-ets.com/index.php/menu02/0202/020201/02020103)*, it seems like the installation process will void your car's warranty. The company that manufactures the product is i-ETS and is located in Korea (http://www.i-ets.com/). I only manage to find the product selling from a Singapore website called WoW! Gadgets (http://www.wowgadgetshop.com/#!__hapticstart).

*please use Firefox or IE to load the site as it requires the use of flash which Chrome do not have.

If you notice, the Singapore website selling hapticSTART also sells the smartCARD accessory where hapticSTART also provides the same function. The first time I saw it, I was confused too. The only difference is the shape of the remote between this two system and smartCARD is only for your car's door lock system.

The disadvantage that hapticSTART and smartCARD faces when compared to Po-40 is that Po-40 is a plug-and-play device and does not seem to void your car's warranty.

Please correct me if I am wrong. hapticSTART seems darn cool though, but I guess right now I am more interested in getting the Po-40 until my warranty ends. XD
