An update to my 620 & 920 problems

Problem: Find my phone doesn't show two checkboxes. Only one slider to turn on and off. For those that do not know what I'm talking about,

Solution: I backup and hard reset the phone. Then I restore. The settings now appears.

Problem: Low light shots seems to degrade.
Solution: After comparing shots taken by other 920 and doing some more tests, it appears to be the pictures are on par. Although I do really feel that the quality degraded a little, since it's on par with other 920s, I'm going to put it to rest.
On the other hand, I find the restore phone function of windowsphone works well but with some annoyances.
1. I put msia as my home region and it restores apps available to msian market automatically. Fantastic

2. For non-msian market apps, it doesn't show the app icon and app name. It just shows "Downloading application.. some numbers.". Tapping it just gives some generic error message. Even when I change the region to US, it still displays that. I had to tap retry.

3. After changing to US region and downloading US apps, I still have some apps that I cannot download. After counting the number of apps and counting the number of "nokia system apps(audio, extra+info etc)" in the windowsphone.com, I guess these are the apps. But I'm not sure since I cannot see the icon or the name.

Wow what are your phone's problems? Heat issues?
No big deal. Just that if you wan to use the windows phone website to send apps to your phone, you need to enable the push (first checkbox). I prefer searching for apps using the website or the windows phone software and send to my phone. Also I can look at my purchase history at the website and click send.

If you are not using this feature, you don't need to bother

erm, what i scared the most is,

who knows, if got other problems altogether with that problem,
(if u got problem A, then ur phone also must got problem B)

if just that checkboxes alone is ok la for me..

Regarding this heat issue, if you look at the video at the start of the thread, you'll notice that the top part which heats up is where the CPU, and what I think should be the radio chip is sitting in. Those things are going to heat up when in use, nothing much you can do about it. Think about the clock speed difference between your old phones and the L920. It's quite drastic!

Well my other problem with my phone is the multi touch. You can test if yours have the same problem.
But that is h/w problem. Missing checkboxes  seems to be s/w problem.

Hmmmm after 2 weeks finally I'm also facing the auto reboot prolem. Its happened this morning once.... hmmmm hope it is normal....

like bro marauderz said, the radio chip is sit near to CPU, the CPU heat might have burn the radio. my unit are now in KL , later i will call their office to track their process.

yesterday, penang nokia care told me they will try to update the firmware i assuming they will have protico? no, 20min later they call me telling that they don't have the RM-821 frimware   how come they don't have the official firmware while i manage to navifirm back my halfbrick L920??

Now I know what have cause my L920 radio chip burn, its talkbox!!
the voice / photo upload is heavy!!! Now I'm using HD7 on talkbox the back temperature very hot!!!
better stay away using talkbox on L920.

yup, Nokia Care will only start diagnose this friday    hopefully can have it back next week.
