QUOTE(CP88 @ May 7 2013, 08:49 PM)
Hi,

Just purchased MAS tickets for friends and noticed the following statement after receiving the e-ticket:

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

I have called & emailed them regarding this issue as my friends will be flying from KL while I was just helping them to purchased the tickets.

Below is the reply I got:
Please be informed that for online booking using third party credit card will required for verification. If you unable to provide them those documents, alternatively you may scan and email us the copy of credit card front page and copy of IC/Passport for us to verify at  our end. We will update into the booking that we have verify and passenger not required to provide those documents anymore.

Failure to verify those documents  will be denied boarding.

My questions:
Do I really need scan my CC front page with IC for verification? During the ticket checkout I have already entered all my details & billing address.

How secure if all my CC details & IC being sent over to them? By the way, I used AMEX for the transaction.

Seeking some valuable advice. Thanks notworthy.gif

i was travelling oversea for work last 2 months or so. MAS ticket was bought using company's credit card. got the same message as well. ask admin about it, they say usually they say so, but so far, when they (my company) din verify it, other colleagues also able to get on board.

however, just to be safe, i asked them to verify, and they went to one of the MAS branch to verify.

Has there been a change to Tesco vouchers through Treatspoints? I always thought before it was 10K point for RM50 and on the spot redemption - now it doesn't show on the spot redemption and 11K points?

i own 2 maybank cc,one is visa and another one is american express, each cc have 2.5k limit.

lets say if i wanna make intallment for a tv that cost 3k. can i use both card but charge half of the price for each card?

which mean 1.5 each card...is that possible?

Yeah, I did hand over my latest 3 months salary slip. And the PIC whom attended me said I can upgrade my limit for another RM4,000 and it'll takes 3-5 working days.

After a week of waiting and didn't receive any call from them, I called them myself and been told that my application has been rejected.

So disappointed

The credit limit is shared for Maybank. Is it written your credit limit is RM5K or RM2.5K?

You cannot divide the credit limit by the number of cards you have

If said total limit is 5K, then the total 2 card is RM5K. Means you can use like 5K on just Amex, and none on master and vice versa

Ya, although your CL is 5k, not mean that 2.5k CL per card, you can make installemnt 3k with either one credit card (AMEX or Visa), but not more than 5k.

so after installment has made, the balance of 2k credit limit you still can spend.
