I suppose what you could do is to insist the workshop to get the ori windscreen. It should come with the tint. Or tell the workshop you know the ori windscreen comes with the tint and u fully expect the windscreen must look the same as it was without the need to retint.

u claim at proton or workshop? all depend on the adjuster i think..normally they try to restore your car back to as ORIGINAL as they can, so mayb our factory fit ecotint will include...same like those ppl buy 2.0p if their car accident they will replace with the skirting too...

ask those claim officer better than u ask here..good luck and no nd eat grass at cny la.

If you insist to get back Mitsu front windscreen, its abt 3K+ and u hv to wait for stock, else you can opt for localised proton windscreen at lower price abt 9xx or one fella here say 5xx?? but without tint.Try refer back few pages, contact no given. Even a lancer was replaced with Proton w/sreen as told by jackng, his ex-boss car.

When you buy insurance, windscreen is not inclusive, its a separate item you can opt to cover (ask for other options including flood, etc). Premium depends how much you insure your windscreen. Eg, if u insure 3K, you can claim up to 3K for ur windscreen but premium is abt RM450/year. You can always opt for alternative tint brands but pls don't get those super cheap ones else you regret.

I called Glenmarie Eon. They told me 2.1k For mitsu windscreen ( according to them)
excluding labour and it doenst come with tint.

Also, Just FYI, Amassurance will cover windscreen + tint for our car if its due to accident. (Restore Manufacturer Condition)

COnfirmed with their personel. HEhe rclxms.gif

Expensive car is expensive wub.gif

2.1K + 1K tint = 3K jor... w/o labour!

Amassurance cover if car "accident". So it means if ur windscreen crack only, not covered? In your case should cover cause other parts of ur car kena.

Mitsu one thinner, less optic distortion aka clearer but prone to cracks etc. Proton one thicker n tougher but easier to kena small sand chips, those who own waja should know what I mean.

Ya, other countries less 'kampung' than here, highway also got cows... holy cow...

nig3l, you should also write to PLUS an official complain letter. May not get any claims but at least they can take note of that area and the cow owners there. At least safer the next time any of us pass by that area. That's one good deed you can do smile.gif

QUOTE(matkela @ Dec 12 2012, 07:15 PM)
Opted for Titan partial set-up yesterday, group buy arrangements. Came home with guk guk guk sound at low speeds, heard at rear. Seen today after dismantling, that the left rear absorber rebounds very slowly after compression, thus making the sounds.
Richard told me the piston seal was too tight. They made good. Sound now negligible, a mechanic friend who later readjust my camber also agrees that there is no ground for concern.
I can now appreciate why many opted for full set-up, that has many suspension setting possibilities. Improvement in handling seen even with partial set-up. Regrets? None

QUOTE(ongweiping @ Dec 30 2012, 10:08 PM)
I'm in partial set, the sound i'm having not sure is the same with all you guys. Its like "thud thud thud" sound once car running for a while. Guess that is 10 mins - 15 mins drive after that. Easier to hear at low speed, maybe the engine sound overwrite the thud sound in high speed. The sound happen in the rear i think. hmm.gif
Not much leave to go titan shop there for troubleshooting.  rclxub.gif

QUOTE(Xai-V-iaX @ Dec 30 2012, 10:15 PM)
It could be because of the rear pistons. Am not sure which version pistons are in your shocks.
..but then again that's if its the same sound/problem that others faced as well. Can't tell till have tested your ride.  wink.gif

I'm sitting at Titan's workshop now with the same noise at rear left. I can't be sure if this is Proton or Titan's issue but after going back to previous posts I decided to bring my car back here for a final check before I head back to Penang tomorrow. Have a family trip to Ipoh this afternoon too, don't want to take the risk. Curious thing is why only rear left? Didn't have this noise until I brought it back to Titan to remove the plastic wrapping. Thought they resolved the issue for partial setup eh? Hehe. Padan muka. doh.gif
