Added on December 27, 2012, 5:13 pm QUOTE(nig3l @ Dec 27 2012, 04:27 PM) The damage quite minimal considering u hit a Cow! Go around those shops get quote first before you decide to claim insurance or not. Btw, that chrome lining is not cheap... For windscreen, MadChin can intro a place abt 1K w/o tint. Pm him... For chrome lining, side mirror & bonnet, try go kedai potong... This post has been edited by XCInspire: Dec 27 2012, 05:13 PM |

If you want comfort, please do not change anything. Drive it as is. Whatever we are "fixing" now is to make the car a more spirited drive aka sporty aka not comfy.

QUOTE(nig3l @ Dec 31 2012, 10:32 AM) That's a relieve if stock windscreen from proton already comes with tint If you insist to get back Mitsu front windscreen, its abt 3K+ and u hv to wait for stock, else you can opt for localised proton windscreen at lower price abt 9xx or one fella here say 5xx?? but without tint.Try refer back few pages, contact no given. Even a lancer was replaced with Proton w/sreen as told by jackng, his ex-boss car. Oh well, Gonna be car-less for 1 month i suppose. THanks alot guys for clarifying. Hope u all have fun this eve ! p/s. my windscreen got mitsu logo. how bout ya'all? i read somewhere.. its proton logo already now.. When you buy insurance, windscreen is not inclusive, its a separate item you can opt to cover (ask for other options including flood, etc). Premium depends how much you insure your windscreen. Eg, if u insure 3K, you can claim up to 3K for ur windscreen but premium is abt RM450/year. You can always opt for alternative tint brands but pls don't get those super cheap ones else you regret. |

2.1K + 1K tint = 3K jor... w/o labour!
Amassurance cover if car "accident". So it means if ur windscreen crack only, not covered? In your case should cover cause other parts of ur car kena. This post has been edited by XCInspire: Dec 31 2012, 11:13 AM |

QUOTE(nig3l @ Dec 31 2012, 11:12 AM) Yeeeeeeh, thats what i thought. Mitsu one thinner, less optic distortion aka clearer but prone to cracks etc. Proton one thicker n tougher but easier to kena small sand chips, those who own waja should know what I mean. Why some people get protonized windscreen. Are they the same? i know my mitsu one feels solid. What a bummer, knock cow , hassle.. now risk upgrading my dearest to proton windscreen / parts |

QUOTE(nzh0920 @ Dec 31 2012, 11:32 AM) Ya, other countries less 'kampung' than here, highway also got cows... holy cow...nig3l, you should also write to PLUS an official complain letter. May not get any claims but at least they can take note of that area and the cow owners there. At least safer the next time any of us pass by that area. That's one good deed you can do This post has been edited by XCInspire: Dec 31 2012, 11:41 AM |

Xai has collected the most Titan hours compared to all of us... and has met many old satisfied customers... which makes me wonder... is it our gb karma...
We are pushing them for a solution, at least they are trying; compared to off the shelf abs which is take it or leave it. |

Edison, where you copied tha quote from? Time is 3:39pm today, now is only 3:08pm. U came back from the future ah?
Ask that owner to check his battery/connection lose, its time to change after 2 years. Quite likely shift lock not releasing. CEL light up also like engine on/off... |

QUOTE(desertkids @ Jan 3 2013, 04:30 PM) manual u everyday 7k oso paw cha la... U expect godlike car to give way to you??talk bout dugong..i think they really read this thread too much la..always block my way.. CVT if used sensibly will be very lasting. U can still drag gears with it but not use it for severe downshifting aka engine braking. |
