not sure if this still apply, i got upgraded as well despite not reaching the required elite point for gold.
end of 2023, i got 53, got upgraded to gold from silver
end of 2024, i got 56, gold status maintained

point not reflect accurately in their system. like mine, missing 10 point. but back end team say got. app- no

Did not happen to me but my ambank just approved today and enrich also changed to gold instantly.

I haven't even get the card yet

Depends, sometimes they will send you an email after you redeemed a flight and completed the trip, that your NEXT redemption flight will earn elite points.

redeemed 2 time before, no receive such email
u got example of the email?

elite point never send email. it will reflect in system. if after 5 days, you can send email to check if can get point.

Just reread the changes, platinum companion also will not be able to bring guest.

So now per group (assuming 1 platinum + 1 platinum companion) only 3 people can go in the lounge instead of 4..

So they finally decided to differentiate between the plat member and the spouse. Well it was good while it lasted.

only companion cannot bring guest but still platinum with point never expire and 2x point.

Guys, this enrich website owes submit claim missing miles but error what can i do? Very headache everytime i fly on qatar airways i give my enrich number to counter but always not showing in my enrich member. End of the year already i need to get to silver. Because passport name owes mess up during booking. I have english name with my chinese name but passport not showing, so boarding pass always need use my last chinese name as last name. Then owes problem during claiming miles.sigh

At least by emailing them which they will take about a week to reply is better than filing for missing miles via their website that you will wait forever.

For my case, lesson learned that I will avoid flying with MAS if I ever have a choice.

always follow passport. You cannot simply put English name. Therefore, advise to correct airlines registration follow passport name.

Not MAS fault. They will follow passport name. You might need to change your passport name if that is the case.

Always use the passport name to book.

To even make it more confusing, the Malaysian passport has NO (No No NO) "given name". By the ICAO convention, you whole name in the Malaysian Passport is your SURNAME.

I regularly run into trouble with Australian immigration during checkin with SQ. MH seems to be ok.

I have given up and changed my KF membership name to conform with my passport.

Was:
given name: Ah Kow
surname: Tan

Now: (as officially in my passport)
given name: FNU
surname: Tan Ah Kow

same problem when go thru immigration at usa when return. need to run to airlines and security.
evwn check in from mas airlines, cannot acan passport , must manual enter first name and last name
