Guys. A sudden thought on this.

25000 points are needed to upgrade to Silver.
But until 25th Dec let's say, I have only 23000 points. (The upgrade is valid for points accumulation of 1 year calendar, not 1 year from your joined membership)
So, shortage of 2000 points, which I could acquire from transferring my treat points to make it exceeding 25000 enrich points.
So, does this move will make me a silver card or that 2000 points will be transfered to your total category?
*
Recently booked via agoda and got about 5K enrich point... after study on web..only realize the point is not really useful as to upgrade we need elite miles ,which accumulate on actual fly.. sweat.gif

Enrich CS is very very lousy!!!!
this is the ever first time I was so so so disappointed with some company CS.

claim my missing miles on Emirates (Dec2017) and Etihad (Jan2018) flight.

Attached boarding passes photo, paste on email, convert photo to pdf etc.

Still cannot satisfy them and keep request the same things!!!!

regret to focus on enrich...

The reason why I avoid flying with them now unless absolutely necessary...they are severely lacking in customer loyalty and relations with no walk in counters for customers to voice disputes or issues. Their call centres and KL Sentral office are all outsourced. Their customer loyalty department is hiding in their HQ with the only point of contact being emails so they can reply/not reply when they please..what with the recent devaluation and “improvement” of their online system (that even their own staff is complaining about lol). Sad to say, MH is not the MH we used to know and it’s focus now is to be back in the black..
*
indeed, the CS not bother to explain wheres goes wrong but keep repeat the same email to me...without telling me that they not able to open jpeg file and need pdf only etc...

is really annoying when you receive same email again and again... like telling us - you not understand my question. wasted 15 mins to call in and get somebody who might be junior and more friendly... help to check and told me where goes wrong!

however, flying with their airline partner both Emirates and Etihad...only earned enrich point without get the elite miles or elite sector.

you cannot "purchase or join" oneworld....it is a designation automatically assigned based on your oneworld alliance airline ff membership....

eg, in the case of enrich, silver=ruby, gold=sapphire and platinum=emerald....

blue unfortunately has no oneworld status...ruby is pretty useless....only sapphire and above allows you access to oneworld airlines lounges....
*
This mean I shall stick to Cathay or MAS enrich if I fly with them?

Two trip to Europe in Dec & Jan with Emirates & Etihad is not enough to lift me to Silver though...still in Blue now

if you do not travel often, you will never get enough elite miles or sectors to go up the ranks....so it matters not...

if you do travel enough, then best to stick to one airline/ffp to concentrate your collection....

few people travel enough to reach status in multiple airlines....
*
Travel short-haul every month (SG), 3-4times (PEK or PVG), 1 time Europe
Base on recent year record...

😴
Maybe too much promotion ticket..? So less miles accumulated right?

if just short haul, you will never get enough elite miles....so it's elite sectors you want to target....if you fly to sin once a month with j class.....you will get 48 elite sectors....another 2 sectors, and you are gold....
*
That was my flying pattern last year...
However, I not even get Silver until now....😪

Actually if you’re flying so often, you should really push for at least an Enrich Gold. The lounge access, priority boarding and business counter check in can help make your travel
experience a lot better.

I’m a leisure traveller but I manage to attain Enrich Gold for a few years, but that requires A LOT of planning, a lot of random flying around (in the aviation world it’s called mileage run), quite some $ and time.

As limeuu mentioned, try to aim for 50 sectors. And assuming all your travels are revenue ticket with MH, you’ll already have 34 elite sectors under your belt, and that’s already an Enrich Silver (which I agree is rather useless). So there’s only 16 more sectors, or 8 return trips, or 4 trips if you can plan something with a transit in KUL (eg SIN-KUL-PEN). If you’re willing to splurge a bit more, book trips in J, and you’ll only need half the effort.

The point is, unless your flying pattern automatically qualify you as Enrich elite members, for layman like me, it requires detailed planning, money and time. Also, I’m not quite sure if this is the right forum for this. Try going on flyertalk, and you’ll see that randomly flying around ain’t that weird after all (:

Happy travels!

haha! after my details counting on FY2017, I only got

6 x (KUL-SIN) - mostly MAS
7 x (KUL-PVG/PEK) - mostly MAS
1 x (KUL-CDG) - Emirates

but I still failed to obtain Silver... blush.gif

Maybe most of my ticket were cheapest and only earned 25-50% of actual miles ...not 100% miles.
How good if I can flying J and hit the targets! biggrin.gif
and flying under OneWorld Alliance don't earn any elite sectors but just normal miles...

Yes I do enjoy flying ... sweat.gif but hardly got extra $$$ and time to do so... and maybe i not really good in planning my schedule to do

CONVERT YOUR BANK POINTS AND SEE THE WORLD WITH 10% MORE MILES

Enrich Promo !

Correction: You’ll get elite miles and sector when flying on eligible fare class on oneworld carrier
*
Yea...and flying with partner airline don't earn me any elite miles....

QUOTE(limeuu @ May 20 2018, 07:31 AM)
You cannot get enough elite miles on short section like that, so have to depend on elite sectors....but 6+7 return trips on y will only nett 26 sectors, not enough to reach silver....
*
Yes.... Probably have a long-haul trip to US in Sept.... hopefully able to straight bring me to Silver/Gold if MAS have KUL-New York/New Jersey with reasonable fare.

I'm just saying it's possible despite not everyone can achieve, since most mentioned that the only way to get upgraded is by flying. My circle of friends already have 5ppl upgraded with this scheme including myself and no, we're not that rich to spend so much, but there are ways
*
Please enlighten me.
Short of 11k miles to Silver.hahaha

Pending Oct PVG-KUL (fly w Cathay) miles to be credit

Coming trip
SIN-PVG ; probably 2k miles?
PVG-KUL ; another 2k miles

Still short of 5k miles and XX sector....😥
