QUOTE(Kelvin8998 @ Jun 1 2023, 04:11 PM) Was wondering whether anyone has seen ‘Enrich saver’ fare for Business suite to NRT before? So far the dates I browsed, seems like it’s all based on dynamic pricing. Was just wondering to get some data points on how much it would cost to redeem a business suite flight. I had that for a one way flight back from NRT if that helps.

QUOTE(Kelvin8998 @ Jun 1 2023, 06:16 PM) Mind sharing how much points + tax it costed and what month of travel it was? And I note the points cost one way from NRT - KUL is significantly higher than KUL - NRT It's higher indeed. I was doing a multi countries trip, thus only got the one way back instead of the return trip tix. FFS 34,400 Miles Total Amount: JPY 48,260

QUOTE(zstan @ Jun 2 2023, 09:47 AM) Well with 250k annual income requirement i doubt any challenger will come along I think the actual % of people that want or can meet the minimum spend isn't that high, so they might actually have to tweak certain things if they want to continue to hold on to users for the TWE once the promo is over.

QUOTE(biatch0 @ Nov 8 2023, 10:04 AM) Do you get an email notification or you stalk the MAS website? I've never received any notification except from my CC bank once... Just missed the 20% bonus and was thinking about redeeming the 10% bonus, but if it's 2-3 times a year I would probably wait for the 20% bonus to return. They do via newsletter. Bit annoying but good timing coz the 20% was just first 2 days.

QUOTE(Buyalotforgaming @ Nov 28 2023, 10:30 AM) I tried a few random locations and dates like Tokyo, Mumbai, Melbourne, London, Taipei from Feb-May. None of them had Enrich Saver. Strangely enough the Taipei one had redemptions cheaper than the Saver even. Same, can't find any savers.

What's your strategy Jan onwards, given how TWE has been nerfed?
I'm probably looking to cancel it, and replace it with UOB PME + WC.
But still need one for the average local daily spends, seems bit waste if don't collect points through the typical insurance, fees, etc payments.

Yea. I'll wait and see if it comes back down. If not, I'll give up on miles also.
The inflation is crazy.

QUOTE(athlon @ Jan 10 2024, 01:49 AM) hmmm not sure i missed out something, saw a lot posts mentioning Enrich Savers points needed for redemption been going up... i used to redeem KUL-HKG quite frequent last year (some in 2022 also) @ 16000 points (econ class) but this year a bit surprise the points required only 13100pts for Econ Lite or 13800pts for Enrich Savers... Tax wise same @ RM353/return.. I think mostly for biz class. For example, NRT-KUL was around 38k one way, now it is 96k.

QUOTE(athlon @ Jan 10 2024, 05:57 PM) I think it’s very much depends on your travel date… my last booked KUL-NRT return trip in biz class early this month was was lower… i cant recall how much… It was much lower during Dec, the complaint is Jan onwards suddenly it shot up. Now, even June/July which is a low season for Japan is at 90k.

QUOTE(athlon @ Jan 10 2024, 06:15 PM) I have another trip coming up end of this month… it’s merely 66k one way… yes slightly more than last year but not up til 96k one way… I was looking at NRT-KUL, thats why it was 96k. Previously, it was 38k, so the inflation is real and its crazy with no real reason why. I think econ class still okay.

QUOTE(furuku89 @ Sep 5 2024, 01:49 AM) Ambank has capped redemptions at 43 million miles. It's unclear if this limit has been reached, especially since Maybank users redeemed over 100 million in just a few hours. My priority usage is Amex, then Grab for e-wallet, followed by HLB. Grab soon will have charges too AMB 43mil was redeem very fast. So the rate is nice but macam not worth the risk.

QUOTE(furuku89 @ Sep 10 2024, 06:43 PM) I plan to use switch UOB Prvymiles Elite to Ambank Visa Infinite for overseas spending purposes. I'm still struggling to find a good local spend card. I spend a lot on the usual offline shopping, groceries, dining and etc etc... So far the one I am using is either the SCB Journey or UOB WC, but I don't find the accumulation is good enough.

QUOTE(furuku89 @ Sep 18 2024, 11:30 PM) For local expenses, I prefer using my Amex The Platinum Charge card. If Amex isn't available, I utilize Grab with an Alliance top-up (despite the 1% fee, it's still worth it) or my HLB Visa Infinite card. I lean towards redeeming miles. P.S: The Amex Charge card has an annual fee of RM 3250, which cannot be waived. However, I frequently travel and take advantage of their travel perks. Amex is just an hassle, I've slowed down my usage of it. I'm probably considering the alliance or the HLB one.

QUOTE(sadukarzz @ Nov 5 2024, 10:32 AM) I think there is plenty of cards that are way better than RM3.5 per 1EP depending on your usage. Alliance Bank's RM3000 cap each for 8x tbp (ecommerce + ewallet) is an example. With RM6000 spending (3000 ecomms + 3000 ewallet) you can easily earn ~RM2 = 1EP Or Maybank's world elite overseas ~RM2 = 1EP So it really depends on your spending pattern to maximize it Just be mindful for ewallet there's a 1% charge these days, and not everyone will be able to spend 3k on ecomm. For MBB, there's the monthly limit so might not be able to change in time. HLB one is much easier if one is lazy, furthermore it also includes insurance and utilities which I think a lot of other credit cards exclude these days.
