Is there a chance maybank will have promo to redeem enrich miles?

14k points to redeem 1k enrich is quite alot
*
lol...u gain from 5x right... that is up to bank. that why sometimes they gave 5x, 8x . Penalty is when redeem.
Your point devalue by 5x, 8x
Like SCB, rm1 = 1 miles (for oversea), redeem time only 2k = 1000 miles

Hi Sifus, does MAS charge any fees for miles redemption?

I am looking to redeem an international flight, Lon to KUL one way. Apart from the points, are there additional fees?
Thank you!

No unless there is a promotion, which they don't normally time with Matta.

the only way you can save money for tax is fly from Singapore, then transit at KUL. Provided you have time to do this kind of stunt.

This is not an uncommon practice, called "repositioning" travel. It's a well known airline practice to price a journey cheaper from another location transiting through their hub, than from their hub itself.

And back tracking as well. Eg, current Australia -malaysia travel is cheaper using CX via HKG than direct.

yes correct. probably it will be far more worth it doing this if time is not a constraint for you.

just an example

KUL - NRT - KUL
May 1 - May 8
39,200 pts + RM1682 tax

SIN - NRT - SIN
May 1 - May 8
63,800 pts + SGD136 tax

Point difference : 24,600 (assuming RM0.025 per miles = RM615)
Tax difference : RM1200

hmm, i remember the points is far more negligible when i checked previously. I can't find the screenshot but it was in consideration few months ago.

I ended up flying to Melbourne instead via SQ as I have some KF miles.
