50% inflation huh? I was saving up my points, thinking to redeem for this year’s travel.

it has been anticipated to have such bad inflation rate since they have 'announced' their organizational 'refresh'

basically just wash and rinse then repeat, if no good card, then dont bother change to enrich dy

you might be better off going with AA points at this deteriorating rate

57% increase for my route one way. Damn it. Thought that I have enough by March and now, demotivated.

Yea. I'll wait and see if it comes back down. If not, I'll give up on miles also.

The inflation is crazy.

There is an updated version.

The 'savers' scheme it to attempt to salvage their enrich program, which was useless when they changed from the sector method to revenue equivalent method. The normal redemption now is crazy because fares are very high since the COVID reopening. The points needed is linked to the actual revenue fare

So the fixed points by region savers is to make it more palatable.

I forgot how and where I got this but I know I got it @ mid of December 2023. I guess with the recent inflation, this guide is outdated as well.

hmmm not sure i missed out something, saw a lot posts mentioning Enrich Savers points needed for redemption been going up...
i used to redeem KUL-HKG quite frequent last year (some in 2022 also) @ 16000 points (econ class) but this year a bit surprise the points required only 13100pts for Econ Lite or 13800pts for Enrich Savers... Tax wise same @ RM353/return..

I think mostly for biz class.

For example, NRT-KUL was around 38k one way, now it is 96k.

why the enrich saver is higher then econ lite? sorry cause not so familier with this point structure.

hi all sifu, first time want to try redeem enrich point for flight to guangzhou, china. The point show for return flight for my selected date is 47900 point. It is not the saver point right? cause from the table saver point needed only 16000x2. So how to get this point? it is we need seach one by one the date?

is it worth to exchange point in this case? from what i compare it is quite high as only 26200 point need for trip to HK compare to 47900 to guangzhou

hahaha sorry my bad for not clarifying further

it was a sarcastic brush at MAS for inflating the points while service/value remains unchanged if not worst

while taking a quick swipe at AA too for useless points from the start anyways

that said, if MAS continues to worsen, we might even see a day where it comes true that AA is more valuable than EM - AA convert to other membership points, that is

Enrich savers having slightly more benefits - extra baggage weight… avoid peak or holiday season to have higher chance getting enrich savers rate…

It was much lower during Dec, the complaint is Jan onwards suddenly it shot up.

Now, even June/July which is a low season for Japan is at 90k.
