if we using Enrich FFP for our flight booking, means the AM cant be credit miles already? Unless we quote AM number when made the booking?

Correct, u can choose either one only. Ur FFP membership number will be printed on boarding pass.

If u using award ticket, no miles will be credited.

Not very sure about that, because I do receive invitation email for MH Upgrade on my award ticket.

Wow, this is news to me. Thanks for posting. So potential route to snapping MH F with J as backup for KUL-LHR return.

yes, MHupgrade will not check your fare class, i have supporting evidence from facebook friend.

they booked economy promo (class O, which not eligible for redemption upgrade), but they still receive MHupgrade and won the bid.

for this i tried to call MH to verify whether promo and award will get to use MHupgrade, unfortunately their agent couldnt answer.

Bro herc is reporting an award ticket getting the MHUpgrade email. This is different from the above but ya, I get what you're saying. nod.gif

yes, when he says he got that MHupgrade for award flight, then i am certainly sure that MHupgrade system will not check anything (not even check your booking class), they will just blast out email to whoever in the plane.

but Code sharing flight will not get this.

hmm.gif interesting... I got nothing for my KUL-LHR return trips in Feb and Sep 2015. Then again, checking flyertalk, the lowest recorded J to F upgrade is quite expensive as well:

BUSINESS to FIRST
KUL - CDG MYR5,000
LHR - KUL USD2,750

Thanks for posting!

Anybody knows how competitive is the bidding? If put slightly higher than the lowest allowable bidding, can get? sweat.gif

because no fuel surcharge for Japan (kix and nrt).
Singapore is nearest. 12500 can get further places like Bangkok, Phnom Penh and Yangon.

Call center answers not consistent
Got 1 agent told me promo ticket won't get MH upgrade, but Facebook friend proved that won the bid on a promo ticket.

Then i made another call, the other agent played safe, said it "depending on flight and booking", so if i wanted to know whether i entitle MHupgrade or not - i need to go MH upgrade web to key in my booking ref.

As someone already mentioned, award ticket and promo ticket are 2 different issue.

Just use your method to check online, my award ticket is not eligible.

Depends on the route and time. My strategy is this: basically, I start out lowest unless it’s a flight I really need the luggage allowance/lounge access etc. whereby I’ll start a bit higher. Red zone mainly.

Next, I’ll wait and monitor using KVS Mobile Companion Tool or Expertflyer etc.

If you get a “Increase Your Chances of Being Upgraded” email from MH, you are looking good. Usually I just make a token increase and I’ll get the seats.

Needless to say, you can jack up your offer if you really want it badly. I’ve never paid much more than lowest bid allowed. YMMV.

Malaysia Airlines Tentatively Schedules Last Boeing 777 Service in late-Mar 2016

On 26MAR16, the 777 operates last flight on Kuala Lumpur – Guangzhou route, which will switch to 737-800 from 27MAR16.

737 for KUL-CAN? Seriously?
