when is their enrich promo for Asean biz class? received a newsletter recently saying "coming soon"..

As someone already mentioned, award ticket and promo ticket are 2 different issue.

Just use your method to check online, my award ticket is not eligible.

OK so i made a little search & found that it transfers to 1:1 points, which sounds a bit rugi.
but then m'sian spg properties are pretty affordable by cash hence i seldom redeem them.

And redeem award MH tickets not eligible for flight sector really makes me a bit meh...

1. haha I don't know. It is definitely puzzling.
2. Yes you need to choose specifically which flights you want. Depending on the agent to do it for you is risky
3. Not sure, you will have to ask MH about it although I suspect that they can allow a stopover of less than 24 hours. Don't call it a stopover, just choose your flights wisely

if you're already in enrich, all is still not lost... redemption on OW carrier still is ok.

perhaps we should flood MH enrich with emails to express our dissatisfaction. unattractive destination and undesirable travel period. huge disappointment.

location wise and ease of travel mas still the prefer one.

1. if choose krysflyer, I heard fellow forumers said always need to be on waiting list and therefore this is an issue to consider.

2. if choose asiamiles, location and time consume and waiting list is big issue as everytime we need to fly to hong kong.

3. therefore the only option left for me is to try redeem enrich miles on oneworld partner airlines?

perhaps someone that have more experience can enlighten us?

KUL-HKG-HEL-HKG-KUL is a total distance of 12869miles which falls into Award Zone 08 in the AMOWMC Chart. You can fly KUL-HKG-HEL-HKG-KUL for only 115000 AsiaMiles per pax in J. AMOWMC also allows maximum of five stopovers, two transfers and two open-jaws at either origin, en-route or turnaround point. You can mix match your itinerary. KUL-HKG-HEL //  OSL-LHR-KUL (if you want a direct flight back).

Rather than spending 120000 miles on a single sector why not take opportunity of this.

for complicated route, u still need to call them, be prepared for a long duration on call but the final outcome is definitely worth it.

my last booking with them doesn't seems much satisfy, sort out by issuing 2 separate tickets, cost more miles but get to fly where I want, no choice

a point to note, if you're planning to book KUL - HKG segment to fly after 1st May 2017, there's no award seat yet as flight has been transferred from CX to KA (Cathay Dragon) which is their subsidiary. I'm trying to change my ticket and have been stuck because of this. If you chk in Dragonair website, redemption for KUL - HKG or HKG - KUL is under travel restriction.

A side note, Enrich CS even have the balls to argue with me that KA is Korean Air... when i called up to request to change the itinerary, she says i need to rebook on Korean Air flight because the initial booking is on Korean Air. My previous booking was on Cathay Pacific (flight code CX).

well, on flyertalk, most people prefer KA on short haul (Sub 4 hours) due to better food and service. Also getting the reverse herringbone seat on regional flight is like playing russian roulette... Only get that seat if CX is flying their long haul plan on regional. Otherwise the seats are the same as KA.

I hope they solve the transition issue soon cos need to amend my return date...

for Enrich Silver u will also get +5kg luggage allowance

I do at least 3 return trips to London per year with MAS to maintain gold.. I need gold mainly for the extra 50% luggage allowance whenever travel oversea

beside MH i also fly with EK and hopefully to upgrade to Gold as well by next year

how long will you wait before lodging a complaint on missing miles?

Flew on 24/9 with AF and 6/10 with KLM. no sign of miles yet.

just a note to be aware.. once they start to be generous on the miles earning, chances are they'll devalue it again next year on the redemption side.

When you fly with an enrich redemption ticket, no miles accrual will be given by enrich...

However, when you check in, enter another affiliate ffp number, eg qf.... and qf will give you miles.... because qf cannot determine if your flight is normal or redemption.... doesn't matter actually to qf, as they still give miles on their redemption flights....

Depends on what class of ticket MH booked you on. For eg, originally my ticket from KUL - HKG - AKL was booked under (U) Business Class redemption with Cathay Pacific. it shows there as redemption ticket hence not eligible for miles.

After that, i did a change of schedule on the flights and long story short, after MH managed to change my CX flight dates, my ticket became (D) Business Class ticket and now eligible for miles award. I use Asiamiles to collect on the enrich redemption.

Almost same case, did a schedule change on my award ticket and miles are credit into my Enrich account.
