Dont forget to do the side quest also (the blank golden heart icon) while exploring the map.
Discovering point of interest, vista and waypoints also give you exp.

If you're looking for PVP, I think GW2 is the wrong game to be playing. But it's still one of the better ones out there at the moment.

I think for an MMO, GW2's PvP is the best in this genre?

Although at the moment I'm enjoying Wildstar's pvp a bit more now. Not too sure why.

I'd say the only PVP type play that is good in GW2 is the World vs World campaigns. The single pvp battles, or 6 vs 6 isn't too great. Lack of skills, gear progression, etc makes it pretty dull.

But still very enjoyable where PVE is concerned.

there are actually many skills and traits that can make up many type of builds, but people tend to stick to the meta be it zerker, condi, bunking etc, making other build appear to be less popular..

the lack of gear progression in spvp is because they want it to be a levelled playing field for all players. no need to worry about gear, only think about builds and strategy.

i know few players that play gw2 just for the spvp aspect of it. that may be their cup of coffee, which probably not for most of us.

anyone try the season 2 content? just grab a new chick-ado mini pet after the long return.

it's not too bad, at least I don't have to force a couple hours every 2 weeks to get all the achievements and whatnots since it's now permanent.

Probably what's not permanent is the neutral environment, you'll miss lots of stuff that way.
