Been doing some research:

http://www.service.asus.com/#!Tablet%20Warranty/ctzm - Link from the front page: mentions something about North America
Did more digging this mentions similar thing under notice. Dono if this means North America can or limited rclxub.gif

Anyways, since tak faham, I called up ASUS service : 03 2053 5077. The guy said he can't be sure unless I give him serial number (which I don't have), but he believes US purchased products don't have this international thing. It's limited to their region.

So now I'm back to 3g model I think hmm.gif

I got my broadband as microsim on day 1 when I registered but I think maxis will change all normal sims to Micro sims for RM10 as they treat it as a loss =\ Or u can be nice and they might do it for free lol.

I just bought a cheap RM6 sim adapter to I can change as I like between 3G modem in a 3G router for wifi or direct in N7.

The serial number should be on a sticker below the speaker hole starting with CBXXXX something. I registered my unit with ASUS with no problems. Methinks their product registration is international. The link from their Msia website goes to the global one

If you check back some of the old threads I believe that there were people who sent in their US sets that has been rooted and flashed to other firmwares to Asus Malaysia and they still honored the warranty.

Here save you time

Part of the reason I bought the N7 over all others was the warranty. The build quality is pretty solid so I dont forsee the need to return that soon

Yeah so stop worrying and get yourself one! Then eat maggi for a month:P

And if you're looking to change sim to microsim, go to the proper Maxis Centres, not those dealer shops. Those buggers are really misinformed. One told me I couldnt get microsim for a broadband something about cannot register or some other nonsense.

Went to the actual maxis centre and 10 minutes later I walked out with a proper microsim (not the cut ones) for a broadband line.

Newegg is simply giving you textbook reply
Asus N7 has international warranty. One user here even got a replacement set free from KL center when newegg told him they need to replace from USA. Not suprise with such a reply as they are just importer reseller. You pass them back for service they will quote from their SOP need to send back USA n you bear couriers charges
