Did more digging this mentions similar thing under notice. Dono if this means North America can or limited

Anyways, since tak faham, I called up ASUS service : 03 2053 5077. The guy said he can't be sure unless I give him serial number (which I don't have), but he believes US purchased products don't have this international thing. It's limited to their region.

So now I'm back to 3g model I think

Ok, newegg called:

They called ASUS, ASUS say their current unit not covered here, i.e. need to send back to newegg for shipping.

I think it's more of in principal this might be true, but generally the service centre will close eye and honor warranty anyways?
