I got my broadband as microsim on day 1 when I registered but I think maxis will change all normal sims to Micro sims for RM10 as they treat it as a loss =\ Or u can be nice and they might do it for free lol.
I just bought a cheap RM6 sim adapter to I can change as I like between 3G modem in a 3G router for wifi or direct in N7.
The serial number should be on a sticker below the speaker hole starting with CBXXXX something. I registered my unit with ASUS with no problems. Methinks their product registration is international. The link from their Msia website goes to the global one

If you check back some of the old threads I believe that there were people who sent in their US sets that has been rooted and flashed to other firmwares to Asus Malaysia and they still honored the warranty.

Here save you time http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2560324/+1520Post #1527 Part of the reason I bought the N7 over all others was the warranty. The build quality is pretty solid so I dont forsee the need to return that soon

QUOTE(ellimist @ Dec 12 2012, 04:05 PM) Ah thanks bro. Was looking through also, seems like most agree newegg one can, although newegg sendiri claim kenot HereYeah so stop worrying and get yourself one! Then eat maggi for a month:P And if you're looking to change sim to microsim, go to the proper Maxis Centres, not those dealer shops. Those buggers are really misinformed. One told me I couldnt get microsim for a broadband something about cannot register or some other nonsense. Went to the actual maxis centre and 10 minutes later I walked out with a proper microsim (not the cut ones) for a broadband line. This post has been edited by Erehwon: Dec 12 2012, 04:16 PM

That you can buy locally is already a big re-assurance no? Anything wrong just go back to the shop and give the fella a piece of your mind:) If that fails just send to Asus in Lowyat:) No need to send back to US like those that imported is already a big big benefit over the plus minus RM50 price difference. Its like less than 1% of your total cost

For those going all official for accessories, be mindful that the current casing doesnt exactly fit the 3g version. The mic holes are placed differently so the current official travel case will block all mic holes. Just FYI~

This may be a silly question but anyone notice the top and bottom of the N7 is slightly rounded and not as flat like the sides?

QUOTE(orenzai @ Dec 15 2012, 06:43 PM) If it's enough to bother you then you should change it Yep! I noticed that when I took it out of the box the first time too. It makes the whole device looks a bit roundish. It's not just the top part though, the bottom part is too Hehe the OCD of buying new devices made me check real thorough.. Not a biggie just that it can't sit nicely in the logo keyboard

QUOTE(ellimist @ Dec 16 2012, 09:23 PM) Hey guys, was wondering, what cases do u guys use? Anyone uses the trifold candy series? Seems decent. Also, the 3g version got different casing? Think some of the mic/noise cancelling mic is different man? The location of the mic for the 3g and wifi version slightly different so some case might block it
