A Table of Feast in the presence of enemies! Part 1

QUOTE
Psalm 23:5 (NIV)
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.

Amen!

In the presence of enemies, nobody in their right mind would sit down and eat on a Table.

But YET this is how the things of God's Kingdom works.
In the presence of our enemies, God prepare a Table for us to sit down, eat.

Why?

Because in God's point of view, He has already won all the victory.
Jesus says in John 16:33 - ....I have overcome the world. Keyword is, I Have, Not I will. Past Tense, He has done it.
If God has done it, IT IS DONE!

Our part is to sit down, eat and rest in the presence of our enemies.
You might say, this is crazy. I still have tons of financial burdens, I still have that Health condition, I still have that problem and it's not resolved, I still have this <insert enemy...>.

Our flesh says, Resolve the problem first then sit down, rest and eat but God says NO.
In the midst of your enemies, SIT DOWN and EAT!

When you rest and eat, God goes to work. He brings the manifestation of our victory into place when we believe and act upon his word. This is the life of Faith that the righteous shall live by. I can testify to you many areas of my "enemies" are defeated when I refuse to worry but rest and eat the Holy Communion at God's Table of Feasting!

If you decide this cannot be and you need to do something, Then God will let you have your way. And many time when we refuse to rest and feast at God's table, the sight and sound of our enemies stresses the living daylights out of us.

Back in the old days, when the enemy was defeated, what they do is that they bring the fallen king, all his generals, solders, etc chained before the victorious King and the Winning King would eat in front of their enemies. The enemies are hungry, defeated, lost. It aggravates them beyond measures and they snarl and growl in despair. Eating before the enemies signify victory and defeat for the enemies.

That is how our God wants us to see our enemies. It sounds tenacious and aggressive but bear in mind, the enemy of our soul in this world is equally tenacious and aggressive. He works through deception and lies. We need to labour to enter into God's rest and Let our Father go to work on our behalf. Because on our own strength, no way we can defeat our enemy.

God Bless.

Every form of addiction/bondages can be broken by the power of God's grace.

Romans 6:14 (KJV) - For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

What this mean is that when you put yourself under God's grace, the power of your addiction will lose it's hold on your life.
But if you put yourself under Law, the reverse is also true, Sin shall have dominion over you.

Perhaps it's time to think where you want to be.

And what is God's grace? Simply this, God's Salvation to you remain intact because it's a gift not of works.

Every time you sin, there is forgiveness and God will forgive.
How long and how many times? As long as it takes for you to finally understand that God loves you.

People will say, God can't be that good, I tell you God IS THAT GOOD. He's merciful and we don't understand the depth, the height, how far and wide is his love. It will take the Holy Spirit to teach you that and change your mind on this. Just trust and believe.

I've learn in the midst of whatever addiction, confess the word of God's grace.
In the midst of your "addiction" confess you are still righteous by faith (Romans 3:22) and it's because of what Christ has done for you. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

You may feel reluctant but if you want to be set free, you got to believe, confess until it happens.

QUOTE(unknown warrior @ Apr 6 2014, 01:42 PM)
1. We will have an  imperishable Heavenly body that will not decay but live eternally

Philippians 3:21-22: But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Saviour from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

2. There's No Darkness in Heaven, in the metaphysical realm as well as spiritual. There is only Light.

Revelation 21:23
The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.

Revelation 22:5
There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.

3. No more death, No Pain nor sorrow
Revelation 21:4 - He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

4. It's a very Beautiful place.

Revelation 21:18 - The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass.

Revelation 21:21 - The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass.

5. You practically have No "needs"
Revelation 7:16 - Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them,' nor any scorching heat.

There's more of course but there are the few I remember off hand.

I think there will be plenty to do. There will be a New Earth, hinting New Administration but without the former order of things (corruption).

Hmm, Unknown Warrior?

I'm going to pretend I'm the devil, and you're going to use your extensive knowledge of the Lord to counter me. It will be just a series of dialogues, between you, a Christian, and me, pretending as the Devil, and I want to see how things turn out.

I may have an idea what the devil has to say, but I wish to see how you defend yourselves against him. And no worries, he will not debate like an atheist.

What do you say? If you're on, I'll start with my line right away, playing as the devil.

actually I'm just about to zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

If there's an answer for it, why not, we can share knowledge.

If I don't answer straight away, then you know, I've zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

To all readers:

Please note that this is merely a dramatic role-play of a dialogue between Unknown warrior and the devil.

Okay here goes:

The devil:

*chuckles* Unknown Warrior? Foolish mortal. Mortals, mortals. Don't you sinful mortals know that it is I who was the one who worshipped God, and how He much He has favoured me for it?

I was raised to glory, and I was happy to serve Him, until one day...I swear, I have no f*cking idea why, He has decided to make new creations...out of clay. You know, like you mortal, FLAWED bast*rds.

I was RIGHT to rebel against God! For why wouldn't He understand that I, Lucifer, WILL NEVER BOW DOWN TO A HUMAN? We ANGELS are CREATED SUPERIOR than you those who are made of clay!

What the hell is so special about those who are made of clay? You guys are powerless, weak, flawed, and prone to sin ANYTIME!

You are flawed, and are quick to sin. I know the instance Adam and Eve was there in the garden, I have to prove Him wrong. I have to prove that HUMANS are worthless, and SINFUL beings.

True enough, Adam and Eve sin, and it was freaking easy to tempt you mortals.

And from there on onwards, I know. I have a resolution. No matter how much I am being seen as the rebel against God, I will continuously prove to Him, that you mortals are nothing, and worthless.

Unfortunately, I have no power to force you to sinned. Thankfully, you mortals...LOL, are really easy to be deceived.

So know your place, mortal, and admit your worthlessness.

God was WRONG to even try to LOVE you guys who constantly betray Him, from the very beginning.

laugh.gif Wish I could role play as good as you. Don't really know why the fascination with Satan. He's nothing to shout about really if you look from the overall context of the Bible, there are far better things that God wants us to know.

But anyway, Hope you don't mind I post my normal way.

True enough, Pride and Arrogance, was the downfall of Lucifer.

And Jesus did revealed his flaws by saying, "You see not the things of God, you are only concern of the things of Man", just before Judas betrayed Him.

This actually hinted that Satan's view was what you could say as "being small hearted", having such a small view of things when He was already
made glorious.

Having said that, He did not understand that God is not impressed with who is the best, the strongest, the most powerful.

God revealed in the book of Isaiah, what traits, He esteems the most in Chapter 66.

"For My hand made all these things, Thus all these things came into being," declares the LORD. "But to this one I will look or esteem, To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word.

Because arrogance and pride causes conflict, whereas humility, broken spirit and obedience seeks the good of others.

And before anyone misunderstood, it doesn't mean that God wants that person to always be like a broken twig, weak and all that.

No. Humility and being contrite in spirit means that the person has the revelation of God, that He/She knows that God is on his side and will protect and provide all his needs. He doesn't need to resort to aggression in the state of pride to fend for himself.

Thank you for your reply by the way.

Lol, it's not really a fascination, but how I somehow managed to understand the enemy as it is. There are many writings about the devil, and they all appear to show the reason behind the devil's acts upon us, and that is, to convince God that we not worth saving (although Jesus has already did it), and that we do not deserve God's love, for we are so easy and prone to sin.

I can even roleplay as the counter, that is, the response being a faithful Christian, but I rather leave that to you guys to decide how it is.

To all readers:

Please note that this is merely a dramatic role-play of a dialogue between Unknown warrior and the devil.

Anyways, here's what the devil would have replied to your post:

the devil:

Hahahahaha! Sigh, tsk tsk tsk. Unknown Warrior. Do you really think you have the right to talk like that? Don't you know I am the one who tempted you to sin everytime, and oh, I KNOW YOUR SINS ALRIGHT. I know. I have doing this for CENTURIES!

Want me to reveal them here? Let's see how about when <insert one of your recent moments when you think you have sinned>, and <insert one of your oldest sins which you have wished you have never done in the first place>

Remember them now? You pathetic mortal. Calling me proud? Please. Don't put me with the likes of you, mortal. And don't give me that humility crap. I WILL send my agents to tempt you to commit one of the 7 sins. Yeap, you guessed it. PRIDE. I am going to make you swell so much in pride, and to make you able to sin some more, without you even knowing about it.

And when you SINNED again, I would have WON AGAIN. And I will keep doing it until all your knowledge about God will be useless and hypocritical.

Got it from internet although is in TLDR category but will worth your time.

Are You Connecting to God's Power?

Nearly 2,000 years ago the apostle Paul gave an interesting directive to Christians living in the Mediterranean port city of Thessalonica: "Pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

What did Paul mean by that?

Prayer is the mark of a Christian! It's important for the Christian to be ready to talk to, think about, be prepared to call out to God. A Christian is one who is always ready to pray and who is in the spirit of prayer continually.

So why pray at all?

In the famous scripture about faith, we are told that we "must believe that he [God] exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him" (Hebrews 11:6, New International Version, emphasis added). Do you believe that? In writing to the ancient Thessalonians, Paul is also today encouraging us to be always ready and develop a regular habit of thanking, praising, consulting and seeking God. Prayer represents a spiritual lifeline, a way to tap the very power of God in our lives.

So how do we do we get into a state where we can "pray without ceasing"? Allow me to share a few personal experiences. My day in prayerful contact with God may go like this:

1. Wake up. In my thoughts thank God for a new day, another opportunity to practice His ways and impact others positively.

2. Make time to kneel and thank God for what He has blessed me with, ask for guidance for the day, ask for the knowledge of His will (Romans 12:1-2) and humbly praise Him for answering prayer and for being with me, as well as pray for people with needs, hurts, sicknesses and trauma.

3. When I sit down to eat, offer simple thanks to God. Thank God for food, sustenance and all good things. Recognize that there are many people not so fortunate who have to spend a greater part of their life to secure and provide food just barely to stay alive.

4. As I leave for work, be spiritually mindful in my thoughts and ask for protection, direction, and favor (Psalm 90:17).

5. When the time comes to make decisions, stop and ask God for guidance to make the right one, to do the next right thing.

6. When seeing things go right in the day, thank and praise God for the successes.

7. When seeing things go wrong, ask God for intervention, support, understanding, patience, and wisdom. Ask to be shown what lessons should be learned (James 1:2-5).

8. Pray with fellow workers and ask for God's guidance and presence when beginning a meeting that will impact what the Church does and the people involved.

9. Midday, thank God for the food that He again provides.

10. During the day if the going gets tough, ask God for relief and endurance.

11. At the end of a day, thank God for all the ways He has been with me and what He has blessed me with. Ask Him to teach me and help me learn spiritual lessons, even if they're learned through adversity.

12. Thank God for my evening meal and those whom I may be sharing it with.

13. As I may read or study the Bible, ask Him to illuminate and spiritually ignite the words in my mind.

14. Before falling asleep, briefly review the day with God and humbly praise Him for being with me and guiding my paths.

As you can see, hardly a few hours go in my day without at least a simple and short prayer. This conscious, constant contact with God is prayer without ceasing. Of course, some prayers are very short, others are longer and more narrative.

I cannot live without prayer. I need help, and the best support I have is being spiritually in a place where God is right by my side through the day (Micah 6:8). I'm not clever enough to do all that I have to by relying solely on my human abilities. I believe that my life is not mine, but part of a destiny that God is in total control of. So I want and need constant contact with God! Direct, simple, humble and sincere prayer without ceasing is how I tap the power of God.

I believe, they're in Heaven.

The Spirit and soul of a person cannot die because the breath of Life from God is eternal.

Doesn't matter at what stage they die, once a fetus is form, that's a new life.

And God made a provision for little children that the Kingdom of God belongs to them.

They're special.
