Guys I have a question to ask
Should we have children? Sounds like a rather straightforward question that warrants a "Yes", but there's more to that. Should we encourage or discourage children? The Bible has always cherished children and encouraged parents to have as many as they want. However should we really have more children at this age? It's a guilt trip to see parents regretting that they brought children into a world of suffering. Especially kids with mental problem, a disability, chronic illness, or if they're starving. So the big question is: Should we keep encouraging people to have children even when there's no future for them? If they don't believe in god, you're giving birth to them only to go to eternal suffering in hell. |

QUOTE(unknown warrior @ Nov 12 2013, 10:58 AM) You got to learn to see things from the eyes and heart of God. Back then in Jewish tradition the survival of parents are directly tied to the amount of children they have. So that's why the society believe that a barren woman is rejected by God.One of the tenets of being a Christian (and you can say this is a kind of repentance) is to agree with God and disagree with yourself. There are many things in my life I'm learning to let go and decided to come in agreement with God that he is right. I used to think children are a burden but that is not what the scripture says. Children are actually a very great blessing from God. Psalm 127:3 (NLT) Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him. So when we have children, it means it's a love gift from God. Back in ancient times, mothers who are barren in the womb are considered not having the favor of God in their Life. If God is right, then we need to seek wisdom from Him in how to raise up Children without allowing fear to get a grip in our life and allow God to work in our children's life so that they will come into his kingdom. As Parents we cannot force our children to believe but we have the responsibility to guide them. This command is in the Bible. Not only that but we as parents need to be an example in the Lord in fervent relationship and prayer. Anyway for consolation, God already made provisions for children, they have special grace and protection from God. And God loves children very much so we can pray knowing this advantage is on our side. Right now however it's like a barren woman is the luckiest in the world. It's very very hard for me to see children are a blessing when I feel like I'm just a burden to my parents. I'm not strong or healthy, can't cope with school and often in some kind of pain. So since young there are frequent trips to the doctor, and lots of frustration When I face difficulties of get angry, my parents feel really really sad to see me. And that makes me even more depressed and frustrated Times like that I think it'll be better for everyone if I'm never born This post has been edited by Sophiera: Nov 12 2013, 02:27 PM |

What does it really mean when the Bible says we give account at the day of Judgement? Is God going to read out everything about our life and grade it? I'd hate to hear my life all over again

QUOTE(unknown warrior @ Dec 24 2013, 11:19 PM) I came across this article on new year's eve. I've been following his work of photographing/talking/helping the addicts of Brooklynhttp://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2...s?commentpage=1 Who knows if he'll finally listen to God down the road. The facebook have lots of rage against this article, though now the rage subsided into praising atheism. Reading the comments is pretty depressing. Most non-atheist comments get drowned out or mocked at. The authour doesn't condone such behavior, but people still do it Edit: Derp, i mean christmas eve This post has been edited by Sophiera: Dec 25 2013, 07:39 PM |

Some basic talk
With everyone claiming their religion is the one and true one (or the other extreme, all roads lead to Rome)... What is the most definitive proof that Jesus is the real God and no one else? |

Many have attributed God to be the ultimate abuser, because He said 'I'(As almighty god himself) am the only way, any no other.
Another example is the Tree of Knowledge. Why put such a catastrophic tree, tell humans not to eat it, when He knows humans will disobey. It's like setting up the existence of humans to just be thrown to hell. I find it very difficult to accept this corundum too. I am bitter inside as I see so many are born with a destiny to Hell. |

If I get it right, the world is created based on the most possibility of love?
There's then another question peoplpe ask me. Or actually punched in the face figuratively speaking. 'Why should I follow a god that forces me to love him? It's either love god, or thrown to hell. What kind of choice is this? Isn't the threat of eternal punishment the same as forcing someone into submission?' |

It kind of clashes with predestination as I understand it. But then again, my cousin's husband describes predestination as something like this
'I'm born a human, in the image of God. So it's my predestiny to know God" Something like that. |

QUOTE(unknown warrior @ Feb 11 2014, 07:40 PM) pre-destination is something that doesn't leave you with any choice. Some school of thought (calvinistic) lean a lot of the fact that humans cannot make their choice to believe God on their own. God must do the revealing, as human are too much in their own sin to choose faith.Ask yourself, are you incapable of making choices? Definitely not. God gave everyone freewill, the ability to make choices. Or something like that That has been a big debate for centuries This post has been edited by Sophiera: Feb 11 2014, 07:49 PM |
