Officially on Intel's white paper for 945GU (with A100 & A110 processor) chipset only supports up to 1GB 400MHz DDR2 RAM. Unofficially wise it is not known for the U1010/U810 but chances are very unlikely, although there are similar UMPC with the same chipset able to use up 2GB but on sodimm instead. This is not to mention taking out the particular RAM which soldered on the chipset itself (google up to see how it looks like). However thus far I had never seen nor come across anyone proven successfully to upgrade the U1010/U810 with 2GB DDR2 microdimm.

I read somewhere that the current Tablet PC should support Chinese Handwriting recognition, but I was unable to confirm with any user. Does anyone has experience in handwriting recognition on tablet pc in language other than English?

hi,

When i buy my lappy, there's no warranty letter as I register online for warranty and given a serial number for that.

Now my network card is spoiled. What shud I do to repair it n claim for warranty? I do not know the warranty is on-site or off-site either...

Anyone can advise me? icon_question.gif

Forget about getting 1.8" SSD in Malaysia. Heck even 1.8" HDD also very rare. I have a Samsung 64GB ZIF SSD on my current U1010 3.5G now. I am willing to take out for sale. How much you are willing to pay for this novelty? PM me your offer.

tks deeplyheartbroken...i think i will wait for the kingspec SSD from Conics..not as fast as samsung or intel...but at half the price smile.gif

does your ssd makes a significant impact on speed on your u1010?

have a look - http://conics.net/catalog/index.php?cPath=...a4cef111389742c

Difference is significant since the stock 1.8" HDD is only 4200rpm, but the major No.1 hold back for the U1010 & U2010 is the puny 1GB RAM.

yeap 1Gb RAM is certainly a challenge for most MS OS....heard good things abt WIN 7...but ubuntu will take WIN 7 to the cleaners.....that's y I am bias towards ubuntu as the OS...read that everything works on ubuntu including the buttons and auto rotation....but the WWAN for the sierra wireless is one heck of a lady to tame...smile.gif Still reading up on the sierra wireless thingy b4 I jump into it.....

I have S6520 and I find it watching movie/songs/youtube/flash video is very annoying. After your mouse stop moving for 30 sec/1 min... the video start jerking especially you move your mouse again...

anyone knows is that a default settings issue? any workaround?
