to be true, Intel having agreement with laptop manufacturers tat Atom laptop cannot use more than 1GB...
yet, asus, etc, all are dealing wit 2GB upgrade....
for fujitsu, iits very very hard to upgrade.... nearly open the whole laptop motherboard, etc......

for XP tablet, u nid to make it during installation, it works perfectly. tablet pc is having difficult time in installing windows xp tablet. cos somes buttons, utilities,etc nid to do it accordingly. thats why fujitsu U1010 downgrade to XP tablet cost very high...

for all fujitsu-ian tat use P1610, u nid to know that this model using micro-dimm ram. which, its far more expensive than outside... can try check the pricing from Amble Actions, Plasza lowyat for latest pricing.
but dis old ram, normally no promotion during pc fair...


U1010 3.5G can straight away put ur simcard inside it for data surfing. otherwise, no point u waste 1k MORE EXPensive than normal U1010 just for the 3.5G.... but now, U1010 3.5G pricing reduced to RM3999

Hi dougles, for V1020, reformat, u can use the recovery disc given in the box. shouldn't be hard for the recovery.
-Insert Recovery DVD into the laptop.
1) Restart the laptop
2) Press enter when the windows started to boot.
3) A mini menu wil come out.
4) Choose Recovery option
5) Then, follow the instruction in it.
easy....

M1010 ram also solded to the board. but, thank god. it stil able be upgraded to 2GB....

those those terms saying M1010 or U1010 cannot upgrade to 2GB... is not because the chipset not supported. its because the manufacturer agreement wit intel that atom processor is not to be upgraded to 2GB.. thus, in market, u can see all netbook with atom processor comes wit onli 1GB... normally asus, or other, they able change it easily... but onli by dealer

fujitsu is carry in warranty. its in Micro-D, Menara Lien Hoe PJ Persiaran tropicana(03-7880 6888) or u can visit Fujitsu Malaysia at Wisma Olympia, Jln Raja Chulan(1800-88-3309).
Its advisable if u register ur device before u bring in for warranty. same to any other brand. just to reduce the hassle of double journey.

just my simple advise.
check out from www.kingston.com
then, find your brand name from "MEMORY SEARCH" corner
then, find your model. Then, get the Kingston part number.
and find your ram from computer shop with the code number.
Volla...

if you cant find the price from anywhere, do let me know. i help you check the price from our Kingston supplier.

Haha. S6421 is a great machine. Current promo, RM3299 with free upgrade ram to 4GB DDR3. Its the T6500 and running on Vista basic unit.

P/S: Anyone here using Fuji P8010? I'm looking for its Recovery and Utilities DVD. Do PM me if someone able to sell to me. urgent. thanks
