hi fujitsu users

just asking... since i'm getting a fujitsu laptop soon...

LifeBook S7111
Intel Core2 Duo Processir T5600 - 1.83GHz
120GB Sata HDD
2GB DDR2 667MHz
14.1" SuperFine XGA TFT

is the specs ok for a college student?? it would be my first time getting a laptop...and i'm sticking with fujitsu since it has 3 years warranty and it is made in japan... ^___^ i'm definitely a IT noob.. dunno how to do troubleshooting or anything...

another question... for this model... S7111... should i downgrade it from Vista Home Basic to XP Pro??

it's because i'm worry about my printer and modem are old models and i dun think it's Vista Supported.

hi... i already got my S7111 lifebook... but now i happen to have a problem with the bluetooth... i'm a laptop noob so i dunno whether laptop bluetooth can only receive files but not send files? i try sending a song from my laptop to my handphone via bluetooth but it always become sending failed. so just asking whether my bluetooth have problem or laptop bluetooth can just receive file but cannot send. coz i tested the receiving file from my handphone and it work just fine.

yeah i did.. it's kinda similar like N95..both requesting password thingy... but the thing was like my bluetooth couldn't send the file out... it's always comes to "sending failed" but when i tested a few file on receiving... my laptop goes very smooth...

regarding the bluetooth problem... it's solved... thanks for everyone's help! now i've got another problem...and question to askkkk....

Fujitsu got 3 years warranty mah... ya lar i know... parts and labours warranty for 2nd and 3rd year warranty but... u should go back straight to the HQ and ask... ^__^ just my 5cents.

well... better get ori battery.... so far i have read many people who use AC Adapter Cap Ayam brand or battery CAP Ayam brand... suddenly the laptop kong " burn! "

u don't have to buy the ram from fujitsu shop... i think 1GB ram cost around RM75 for kingston... ^__^ ram i think can use other brand since i don't think fujitsu got manufactured ram products... ^__^ although cosaire ram are quite expensive...

well... it's ok... since Fujitsu Small Ultra-Portable aka P-series Laptop's price range from RM8k-RM11k.

well most Fujitsu tablet portable laptop range from RM8k - RM11k...

and yeah... i'm glad that Fujitsu has decided to come out with budget laptop... ( S7211 )

wat's it's weight?? sum more it's 15.4" .... 160HD sum more... T5750... i think most Fujitsu Lappies comes with Vista Home Basic...

i heard toshiba cheaper wan like ( RM4k ) are made in china while those expensive specs like RM6k above only made in japan...

haiz... that's the reason i get Fujitsu... 100% made in japan regardless the price tag... and so far... many users who use Fujitsu has made the laptop last very long time compared to other brand... i don't intend to change my laptop in another 5-8 years time... so hopefully it can last me a very very very very long time...

if the shop still got sell S7211 ( it's a slim edition so... should be less than 2.8kg ) try asking that model also... should be around the same specs... but with intergrated camera lar... but i dunno whether the model still available or not...

to Frederickk... as far as i know... the S7211 specs are almost the same with ur V1020... i dunno about V1010... since no one put up that lappie spec...

1. weight
2. price
3. HDD space ( S7211 120GB & V1020 160GB )

that's all... it's up to u to choose which one...
