ICBM do not have pin point accuracy.
US just need more time to deploy their THAAD in Korea and Japan.
Europe cover their with Aster block 2 for anti ICBM.
*
I dont think is very hard to develop a pin point accuracy ICBM. First thing china will destroy the carrier flee with this.

China with their ICBM range up to 14000km and pin point accuracy ICBM really make US scare.
*
US also got ICBM..why do they have to be scared of China..if China launch her ICBM, US can retaliate with their own ICBM..then both countries go kaboom..and Asean can claim the whole South China Sea back.. rclxms.gif
hehe pardon my lack of military knowledge..but shouldn't the MINDEF build some more airfield in Sabah and Sarawak..and place some fighter jets there..I just realised there's only 2 airbase there..and the airbase only have nuris, CN235, VIP jets..or is it bcoz they don't have to, bcoz jets in Semenanjung can reach Sabah/Sarawak within minutes? hmm.gif

ICBM were never design for pin point accuracy.
even their Anti carrier ICBM missile have hard time to kill a moving aircraft carrier.
Also it were never tested even once and the missile capabilities is very much questionable.

The main problem for China is they have yet to developed a capable system to intercept the ICBM.
US have already develop a very capable system to intercept the ICBM.

If you're talking about how Dassault is having a hard time to sell the Rafale, let's not say anything about the Su-35.

I'm pretty sure Russia's presence at this year's LIMA says a lot on how they want our attention despite our current lack of interest. whistling.gif

Still hard to guess which plane would replace the migs,
the tenth RMK plan for the defence asset was pretty limited after all.

Best just wait for the official news, maybe next year,
but certainly before 2016.

LIMA 2013: Problems persist with RMAF Cougars
By Alan Warnes | 28 March 2013 Thursday | 1:42

Relations between Eurocopter Malaysia and the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) remain at an all-time low because of restrictions affecting the EC 725.

Gearbox problems have led to the civilian EC 225 equivalent being banned from all over water flying and to continued checks. An official told Shephard that Eurocopter were aware of the issues before the two helicopters were handed over last November, but did not advise the RMAF. Not too surprisingly, the RMAF is believed to be less than satisfied with the situation.

This has meant that the RMAF have been unable to become fully operational with the aircraft. Training and work up is being severely disrupted by having to check the engine’s gearbox every two and a half hours when the helicopter is flown for 20 minutes at 70% of its full torque capabilities.

Eurocopter and RMAF technicians then check the onboard HUMS for problems. While Eurocopter believes it has found the main root cause of the problem it will take some time to effectively end the current restrictions.

The RMAF has so far taken delivery of two of 12 EC 725s on order, with both aircraft operated by Kuantan-based 10 Squadron.

The EC 725 was first introduced in 2005 and French variants of the aircraft have been used operationally in Afghanistan.

i believe every new military device sure have problem during starting use, also need time for fully operational, and supplier will collect data and fix it and continue to delivery remaining unit.

why Rafale get hard time to sell? politics

them rafale, with all the ads and ToT promise and lip service, failed to their political string. maybe because their presence isn't that strong outside francophone country.

The issue is that Eurocopter was aware of the problems before the Cougars was handed over and not informing it to the customer (RMAF).

the main problem is for the EC275 that suffer world wide grounded because of the gearbox problem
but Cougar do not suffer the same fate even though the worries are there
