I heard no mention of Military training by the Malaysian Govt. Beside, all the Army is Lahad Datu and thats not a training at all.
Do we need to do military drill when the Sulu already threaten to take over Sabah ???

Training 80km from shore for what reason ?? I dont hear any Malaysia Warship going there for training.

One of the point of the China training here is to see what are the reaction of Malaysia and the western counter part.
also a bold statement by the new leader of China that they are serious with the dispute matter.
as always these kind of situation become international political chess games.
rather than going hard we better going for chess games with them.
asking for a join training will be a exits door for every1.

at worst they say no. and after the training they will go home lor.

in my opinion, china want to know how malaysia and the world (especially the U.S.)will react. if china fleet go that far and no reaction, then it will be easier for China to master the border dispute closer to the mainland. if you look at the map, the jhames shoal is also close to the Natuna Island. and if you look at the case in the past as well as the claims of china, some regions in Natuna Island also claimed by china. had several incidents between China and Indonesia in the Natuna in tha past, in the case of this SCS, Indonesia should have to be serious.

united states still looks awkward when facing china, U.S. is the biggest export market of china, and the U.S. also have a huge debt in china.

if war broke out in ASEAN, true that china can not use its nuclear, because there's international agreement that countries that have nuclear is not allowed to use it to countries that have no nuclear. but without any nuclear, if joining ASEAN countries facing china, it is very difficult to deal with in the present. china military quality goods that had doubted, is no longer relevant. china've learned a lot and their military technology is getting good. and their military industry .. ran like a deer being chased tiger .. very fast ..
