Hi Sifus,

Need some advice here. Which one is recommended among Aiman Growth Fund, AMB Dividend Trust Fund, HDBS Select opportunity fund, HDBS Asia Quantum Fund?

Thanks.

If others just tell u "A is good, go buy A", u will never learn how yourself.

Why not do yourself a favour and do some homework yourself? Go dig for the prospectus of those funds. Don't need to read thru the whole document from head to tail, just read about the investment style/mandate of the funds, see how they fare against their peers and benchmark. Then see their latest Fact Sheets for the latest info on the funds.

Then come back here and discuss your findings with us, so that we all can learn from each other, ain't that better? smile.gif

Hehe, actually i have studied some, most of the funds i mentioned are almost at its historical high price. I am not sure about that, is it good time to invest for Asian funds (eg. Asia Quantum) instead of others? What did you buy? I have select balanced fund only so far

Somebody has been keep repeating that NAV is not really critical as unit trust is not similar to shares.

This has been explained in FSM and PM threads.

So, is it depends on other factors like dividend distribution, the skills of fund managers, portfolio allocation?

And that day at FSM "Lou Sang" dinner the CEO of AMB talked of something along this line, "...we decided to reward investors with a dividend..." I almost wanna start a debate with her laugh.gif

Hwang has launched the AIIMAN Select Income claims to emulate the success of its Hwang Select Income Fund. I wonder will it get the same success rate since the portfolio allocation is entirely different from each other....
